Chapter Four

Carson was sitting in front of his computer with the same sinking feeling in his stomach as the two nights before. His email was opened up and the cursor was pointing to a video file, yet to be opened. Carson shook his legs at an unsteady beat, debating whether to open the email or not. It was inevitable, but he at least could put it off until later. He wanted to know what Nathan did to Kristin, but at the same time he didn’t. Carson now considered Nathan a friend after sharing those cigarettes, and he knew that after this video, any respect that he had left for Nathan would be gone.

It wasn’t like Nathan was such a good guy. Well, he was, but after his Junior year he started becoming a jack-ass. Carson knew about the crap that Nathan did to people. In the locker rooms after football practice Carson watches Nathan push Dean Jackson around, smashing his head against the wall, and breaking his glasses. Nathan had a code against picking on football players, but Dean was exception. Dean had a permanent spot on the bench, and if that wasn’t enough Dean can quote from volumes A to R of the Britannica Encyclopedia. Though Carson usually laughs at the shit that Nathan does to Dean, he hated the way Nathan treats women.

Before clicking on play Carson prayed that whatever Nathan did to Kristin wouldn’t want to make him want to tackle Nathan down during football practice.

Hello there!

Carson hated how Kristin sounded so happy, while the rest of them were so miserable. The scene was different from the rest of the videos, instead of her room she was outside somewhere. Carson couldn’t tell exactly where, because all he could see were trees.

So, this is the 3rd video, and I’m not exactly sure how to introduce this person. It’s the first guy to be these videos. I think you all know him, actually I’m pretty damn sure. He is the kinda guy whose middle name has to be a curse word, because he is that freaking good looking.

Carson rolled his eyes. Sure, he had heard of all the things girls say about Nathan. Heck, even his own sister has the hots for him. Nathan wasn’t exactly the most popular or most good looking guy in school, but he still got lots of attention from the ladies. Carson wasn’t jealous. No, definitely not. He thought Nathan had fish lips.

Ready, Ladies? Nathan freaking Williams. Yep. Oh my god, you are so smoking hot.

Kristin put her head down on the bench she was sitting in, and mumbled, and groaned to herself. She seemed drunk or stoned. Kristin wasn’t really the type to get into drugs or alcohol, though both of them have experimented with Andrew’s "baked goods". Carson remembered how at her house once they raided her dad’s alcohol cabinet and got wasted on vodka, hoping that he won’t miss it.

Too bad you were such as ass, and you have a really small.....

Kristin started laughing, cutting herself off, as Carson confirmed his doubts.. She was either drunk, or freaking out of her mind, but with Kristin you never know. She is making these videos after all.

She turned back to the camera, a bit more calm than before.

I wouldn’t know, but y’all thought I did, didn’t you? Because I remember all the girls from school coming up to me and asking me about Nathan’s, well, you know. They didn’t even ask me what really happened. They just assumed. I didn’t tell anyone what happened here, at this park, so it must of been you.

Her hand reached towards the camera as the lens zoomed out, and a view of the park behind her was visible. Carson recognized it at once. Behind Kristin’s neighbor’s house was a trail that lead to a park, which he and her had spent so many hours at. It was the park were he and Kristin had there first date, and their first kiss. Suddenly, a overwhelming rage of jealously filled Carson. He thought that the park was their special place. Carson wondered how many more boys she had brought to the park.
