As the last wall around the town rises, I feel the last of my strength disappear. Around the second wall, I had become exhausted. On the third wall, I had almost passed out. I hadn't thought that I could make a fourth wall, but I had forced every last drop of strength I had into creating the final wall.

The government had offered me money to turn my friends in. They had offered to let me work with them and get even more money and to not be locked up...but that, I realize, was all probably a lie. They would've most likely locked me up, too.

And even if that wasn't the case, Robin was right. Friends are worth more than money, and lives can't be traded for money.

I owe everyone at least this. I hope they accept this as my final apology, I think to myself as I crumple to the ground. I hope they forgive me...

And with that, everything fades to black and I feel the contact of my body hitting the ground.
