lauren's pov

"What kind of news?" I ask, my voice soft with my brows furrowed. Camila and Ally are fully sitting up now, waiting for what the doctor had to say. I fiddle with the wire that connected to heart monitor as he looked down at his clipboard. He cleared his throat before speaking up once again.

"You're health as well as your physical condition is pretty stable, everything looks good well besides the fact that you can't remember anything." He says the last part light-heartedly, none of us laugh except for him, his laugh faded with a defeated chuckle as he sighs softly. "Too soon?"

"You think?" Normani says with a small huff before rolling her eyes and facing the other way. I couldn't help but laugh quietly into my hand at her reaction. The doctor just sighs in his place before quickly recovering with a smile.

"Well, I'll leave you all to it. I'll update you all when Ms. Jauregui over here is ready to leave," He says in a very soft voice before exiting the room without another word. Dinah just breaks out into a fit of laughter by my side, myself laughing as well.

"What? What is so funny?" Normani questions as she looks over at the both of us, raising an eyebrow and grinning in our direction.

"Nothing, you were just funny." Dinah responds with an another laugh before taking a deep breath before my laughter also dies out. I glance over at the two other girls who seem to be watching in amusement, as I shift slightly in the hospital bed.

"I think I'm gonna be leaving the hospital today," I say after a long moment as I look out the window seeing gray clouds begin to form in the sky.

"You have a feeling?" Ally asks as I feel the bed beside me sink just a little bit, turning to my side as I see the smaller girl seated beside me. I nod slightly as she offers me a small smile. I return a small smile before I see the door open once again, one of the previous nurses coming in to check up on me and also run a few tests. I watch as the four girls file out of the room, letting the nurse do her thing.

"How are you doing, Ms.Jauregui?" The nurse asks, as I glance over to her as she speaks. I never really noticed how young she really is or looks.

"You can call me Lauren, Ms.Jauregui is too formal for me," I say with a small chuckle as I watch a small smile find it's way up to her lips. As she begins to fix all the wires attached to my body, from my wrists to my chest to my abdomen.

"Well alright then, Lauren." She says with a little bit of emphasis on my name making me chuckle, as she adjusts the wires on my abdomen. I watch as she fixes them before glancing up at her.

"Sorry for asking, but how old are you?" I ask with no hesitation as she begins to stand back up.

"I'm twenty-one."

"Woah, twenty-one and you're already a nurse?"

"You'd be surprised if I told you my whole life story," She laughs softly at my reaction before she slowly makes her way towards the door. "I'm Caitlyn by the way. If you need anything else, you know where to find me." She says with a small smile while she exits the room. I just sit there and stare at the closed door before letting out a soft breath.

A soft knock slowly comes from the door moments after as the door begins to open seeing the familiar lab coat become evident inside the room.

"So, what's up Doc?" I say with a small smile, as he looks at me with a small laugh. Checking his clipboard before looking back up at me.

"Well it looks like it's time for you to leave, Ms.Jauregui. You're all good to go! Caitlyn will be back in here to remove all the wires from you and help you get out of this place." He says with a wide smile, as he walks over to me to shake my hand. Aw, now I feel bad for Caitlyn because she just fixed my wires."It was a pleasure meeting you."

"It was a pleasure," I respond as he begins to walk out giving me a slight wave before closing the door behind him.

"Well damn," I mumble before looking down at the wires attached to my body, glancing over to the heart monitor and listening to the steady beat. I hear the door begin to open again my eyes tearing away from the sight seeing Caitlyn walking inside the room once again. A quiet chuckle leaving her lips as she moves over to the side of the hospital bed, beginning to carefully remove the wires that are on my body.

"All this hard work for nothing," She says jokingly as I just smile at her gently.

"It was perfect for like five minutes," I respond as she finishes up, setting the wires to the side before slowly taking my arm and helping me up. She laughs softly, before slowly letting go of me as I regain my balance.

"Do you think you'll be able to change yourself or do you think you'll need some help?" She asks in a questioning voice as I wobble slightly before standing up straight. I think for moment before I run my fingers through my hair.

"I think got it from here. Thanks, Caitlyn." I say sincerely before she begins to walk towards the door.

"No problem, and by the way. I'm a big fan," She says with a small wave and a bright smile before closing the door behind her.

'Big fan of what?' I think to myself before shrugging and scanning the room for my clothes, I spot a pile on the couch which I'm guessing is mine. I begin to slowly but surely make my way to the couch. Slipping out of the hospital gown and into my clothes, as I finished I look out the window. I take a deep breath at the sight before my eyes at the city below me, seeing a whole lot of cars, people, streets, buildings, trees, etc. It was like a whole new world for me, I don't know what to expect.

"Lauren?" My head turns to the source of the voice. I see Camila standing in the doorway.

"Yeah?" I ask, slowly beginning to walk over in her direction, I see the girl look at my attire up and down. It causes me to chuckle softly, as her gaze meets mine once again. A quiet cough-eliciting from her mouth as she smiles.

"Are you ready to go?" She asks in a soft tone, I nod my head slowly.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I say as she takes a hold of my arm to help me out of the room, guiding me down the hall. I glance over at the girl, seeing the determined look on her face to get me to the other side. It makes me smile. I wonder why...
