Carl ? Carl is a coworker. He's asked me out a couple of times but, I never took him up on his offer. Don't get me wrong now he is handsome, nothing compared to Luke however, I was to focused on my career and I just could not risk getting involved.

Carl was the typical charmer. Muscular yet small, the new Justin Bieber like hair style only his hair is blond, and he is 6'1, and somewhere around his mid twenties. His eyes made you feel like you were chasing fireflies. With all honesty he looked like a model, but something seems off about him. It always has, since the first day I met him.

Clearing his throat Carl arches his eyebrow "Are you ok?" Hell no, why in the hell am I at your house. Um, yes. I'm just a little confuse that's all. I nervously state. "Well I was out for my daily run when it started pouring, in a rush to get home I decided to take a short cut and thank goodness I did because I found you lying on the ground soak wet." Suddenly I felt guilty and stupid. Here I am judging the guy, acting like he's some psycho when he pretty much saved my life. Thank you so much!

"No problem, I mean you could of caught a deadly cold out there, just laying there, barely cover up." He shakes his head imaging the worst I assume. Letting his words sank in I feel my body, looking down I see a white mid thigh night gown.

Apparently, Carl could sense the panic in my expression "it's my ex's she left it and I really did not want to invade your personal space or anything but to put you in a bed with wet clothing I might as well left you outside in the thunderstorm. Thunderstorm? I didn't hear anything about a thunderstorm. And something about his responses throw me off. They all seem... prepared? Practice, as if he knew my questions before I did. I'm probably just being paranoid, I do get like that sometimes.

Well, again I just want to say thank you and can I get a ride to my house? I question nervously. "Sure, right after the storm passes through." I look at him warily, hm. Ok I reply rocking back and forward on my tiptoes while biting my bottom lip. A bad habit I've picked up since meeting Luke. Luke! I mentally scream he's probably going into a frenzy ! "Um would you like to lay down or take a seat?" Carl questions pulling me from my thoughts.

I crane my neck looking up at him, he's much too close for my liking making me feel uncomfortable. I take a step back and turn around walking back to my room. Carl waits till I turn on the room light, he turns off the hallway light and follow me into the room.

It's the same as it was a year ago, dark green circles decorated the navy blue walls. The bed sheets were dark green with navy blue, baby blue an dark brown circles. Dark brown curtains decorates the windows. This room hasn't changed much. I remember coming here a year ago when Carl needed several files and I was the only one in the office since I always worked late. I had to drop off the files to his house he told me to put it in this room which was his office, the walls never did match the office because he never got around to repainting the walls. Although when this room was his office every thing seem out of place however, now it looks like a bed room set out of a catalog.

Sitting down on the bed I try to think this over, what was I thinking to run off in the storming rain! Bending over I put my face in my hands. Feeling the bed dip beside me, a hand began to draw soothing circles on my back. Carl whispered soothing words in my ear yet, I still feel uncomfortable and unsecured. I don't know why bit everything about this place gives me chills it's like that movie "Caroline". Everything in her magically world seem perfect but, in the en it was all a mask.
