Standing in the shadows

First day of school

When I walked in the school I slowly made my way to my locker. I grabbed my books and headed to class. I had math first with Mr. Tanner. I got to class pretty early and sat down in the front of the class like I always do. My best friend,Conner, came and sat behind me. He tugged on my braids like I was some horse. I sharply turned, then thumped him on the side of the head. He faked pouted when I patted his head. I turned around and continued to read my book. When the bell rang my book was swatted out of my hands. The most popular boy in the grade best friend,Jake, stared at me saying"Book down princess."  I slowly picked up my book,put the bookmark in and set the book on my desk. I took out a pencil and my math book so I was ready. I didn't want to retaliate like the others would have.
By lunch I was so hungry I grabbed my home lunch and my phone and headed to the court yard. When I was heading to the doors I was slammed against some lockers hitting my head. My head hurt so bad,I went to feel my head and felt blood. I slowly got up but then fell back down. Before I landed on the ground I saw Jake knocked out,me in ,Josh's the most popular boy in are grade, arms. I then blacked out.

Josh's point of view before the accident

I was walking to lunch when Jake pushed Jordan in to some lockers. She went to feel her head and I saw the blood on her head. I was so mad at Jake he was just laughing. I knocked him out. I picked up Jordan bridal style before she blacked out. I rushed to the office yelling for everyone to get out of the way. I don't know why I cared so much but all I remember is when we were little.

We were about 12 when are parents were friends. We were in her tree house when I told her I liked her and kissed her than ran away. The thing is we where moving away the next day. After that I have have never stopped liking her. When we moved back I never had a chance to talk to her. I was swooped up by the populars and was expected of so many things.

When I reached the nurses they took her off my hands and sent me to class. How could I go back to class when the only girl I had feelings for could be seriously hurt. I went to my locker gaining strange looks form everyone. I have had too much unwanted attention. I walked back to the parking lot, jumped in my car,then headed home. I parked in the garage. I walked in the house quietly hopping no one would be home. I was wrong! "Care to explain why you are home?" My mom said.
