Project 27 trodded through the damp, darkness to try to find the rest of the pack. He suspected he had been gone a day or two but he wasn't quite sure. It was so dark he could never tell when it was daytime or nighttime. He ducked under some low hanging eletrical wires and then he came upon something he had never seen before. There were homes; houses that creaked in the darkness, the main street was full of cracks from erosion and water freezing in the rock. It was an old neighborhood that remained in the darkness. The pack hadn't explored much of the Underground, but now he saw what was underneath the torn city. The sanctuary was down here, but if the sanctuary was partially destroyed then the stalkers must be around here too. He sighed and slowly began to walk through the streets and tried his best not to disturb the rotting buildings. Every once in a while he would stick his head in and peer through a door to see what was inside the buildings. Most of the time he only found bodies that resided in the entry ways. What was this place before? He always believed the Creators just made the Detainment for the pack, not for actual humans. Why were they there? He decided he was going to move on and near the end of the street there was a large wall that rose up hundreds of feet, locking the little town out of any escape, but a large cracked hole in the wall allowed Project 27 to move on. He continued deeper and deeper into the darkness.

"Project 27 escaped Stalker 145, should we activate another to take him out?" The human was standing in an office, wearing a large white lab coat and tightly held a clipboard in his hand. His boss stodd by the tall glass windows and watched the star shipd gently glide through the clouds. The future was something he had always dreamed about and now his multi-million dollar industry was taking flight, but he had other projects that were under the radar. He slowly turned around, the suns rays streamed through the window casting a shadow on his face, his features invisible he grabbed hold of the chair and glared at the researcher.

"How did he kill the Stalker?" he asked slowly, "His sibiling killed it, Project 1 is overly strong and he saved his brother for some reason. I think he knows how to escape the Detainment." No sooner than the words left his mouth his boss smashed his fist on the table and threw a glass across the room. In a violent rage he shouted, "NO!!! They are not allowed to escape, they cannot escape! We need to make a new variable for the experiement..." He paused and went into deep thought. He regained control of his anger and then sat down in his chair, smoothing back his hair and wipped the sweat from his brow. The researcher began flipping through his stack of papers, looking for a new variable to through into the Detainment. Finally he paused and a slight smile peeled his lips and he spoke quietly.

"We still haven't released Project 49..." The man in charge looked at him... a few moments of silence and then said, "Proceed."

Project 35 ran out in the darkness as he carefully kept an eye out for any Daemons. He knew that the pack would notice that he was missing by this time, but they dare not go back to the surface. All those silly pack members, stricken in fear because of a monster that is man made. No one dared to question the creators, but Project 35 did. He got more than he bargained for, but in order to remain alive he had to be apart of their plan. He knew a new variable was going to be tossed into this world and it would bring chaos with it. The dust fogged up his goggles and he took them off. He was now unable to see and he rubbed his eyes with a paw then began to scrub the lenses of the goggles, removing the dust from them. He reactivated the night vision and slipped them back on his head. There in front of him, stood Project 1.

He yelped and jumped back in fear and then realized who it was and relaxed. Project 1 wore a gruesome grin on his chops and he chuckled a little, "You are so easily scared aren't you?" Project 35 stood up straight and snarled, "No way to greet someone though. I did as you said I rounded up the Daemons and they chased the pack into the underground, you should treat me with a little more respect." He sighed and sat on the groud allowing himself to rest. Project 35 had helped Project 1 to gain his trust and the trust of the creators. Project 35 stepped closer to Project 1, "But we both came here for a different reason." Project 1 raised his head and nodded. "I have a personal mission for you 35, and I hope that you would be up to the task, you think you could manage?" 35 nodded slowly but then spoke, "I want to know what the mission is first." Project 1 glared at him and let out a sigh and then slowly began to whisper in a hushed tone. Only Project 35 could hear what he was saying, but with every word his eyes seemed to grow bigger and bigger until he was panting in disbelif. Project 1 simply smiled and spoke,
