'what happened'
'he got drunk' I sniffled
She snorted 'Asthghfirullah and?'
'he's with his friends' I gasped at the thought of him and he's friend getting high.
'and?' looks like the interrogation is going on forever, and I don't mind complaining about him forever.
'I'm at the next door' I said glancing at Safwa, as she sips on her coffee.
'your point in calling me, again?'
'i wanna come home' I weeped with frustration
'look Kyda!' she held her breath 'he's a good guy' she breathed
'i don't care' I said promptly. I actually don't care. I never wanted this marriage anyways.
'i care, he's doing this because of you' she paused before she continued 'i know it's only been a week, you will be happy, you'll find some love for him in between that wretched heart of yours' she giggled cracking me up
'yeah right, there's no way I'm going there now' I said despite the fact that it's my house, now that I'm married it's a must.
'it's your house, plus if you don't it's gonna be a burden on sawfa and her husband, don't wanna trouble them do you' she's making a really good point, Safwa is my best friend she and I got married pretty recently, especially me. A marriage that I've never wanted! I survived a week without getting touched by the stranger who's is now my aggravating Mahram.
'you're right, but he's disgusting! Can't blame me for his behaviors' I rolled my eyes glancing at Safwa who's continouesly staring at me now. I smiled.
'well you're his wife, and as a wife you've got responsibilities, like The Prophet (pbuh) says: "The people of the worst stature with Allah on the Day of Judgment are men who confide in their wives, and wives who confide in their husbands, and then they spread each other's secrets around."' she stated 'oh and yeah Sahih Muslim' she exaggerated.
'well the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said "No previously married woman should be married off without being consulted, and no virgin should be married off without asking her permission." soo' I kept exaggerating the O's until I annoy my sister off. 'fine, fine! Don't tell me anything tell mom' she said, something inside sent burns on my intestines when she mentioned Mom's name, I missed her alot so much that I'm forcing not to cry myself every night before I fall asleep. I didn't want this marriage, I was never interested in getting married since I was a kid.
'how is she?' I exhaled with tears flowing down my eyes
'oh my god are you alright' Safwa placed her hands on my shoulder giving it a tight squeeze 'i'm okay' I mouthed at her letting her believe it as I faked a smile.
'she's doing well Alhamdullilah!' she sounded sad 'anyways gotta go, talk later bye'
'by--' she hung up already, why is she in a rush everytime I talk to her. Sisters are always sisters. Khanza I missed you alot!.
'umm kyda' Safwa cocked an eyebrow! Just because I let a tear roll down my cheeks doesn't mean I need any help! 'your husbands here' she frowned, 'what?' I gasped. Urgh I don't wanna go.
'i'm sorry he's calling you' she said apologically. I stood up grabbing my bag, I kissed her goodbye. I can't stay here, especially when they're newly married. They have alot of work to do and I don't want to in between wrecking their love life.
'hey it's alright, asalamu alaikum see you tomorrow' we bid our goodbyes. I walked through her living room as I walked my eyes got caught up on a specific beast who is now smirking at my presence
