Don't Know, Don't Care, Just Survive

Chapter One: Shelter

AN: Found chapter one! Thank god I had it saved on my ipad elsewhere XD *phew*

"Well. This is interesting."

A short girl with brown hair with half of it shaved glanced around. She sniffed slightly, and put her hands in her grey, winged, hoodie's pockets. "I'm in the middle of a dense forest. Huh. Weird. I don't remember coming here."

"Oh my god. OH my GOD."

The brown haired girl turned to the familiar voice. "Tara? Your here too? Huh. Cool."

The mentioned girl, Tara, was laying on her back on the ground. She was tall with blonde hair put up in a messy bun with a clip, glasses, and a ridiculous Loki hoodie with horns on the hood.

Tara sat up and looked at the brown haired girl. "Ros?! Wha....how did we get here? And why are you so calm?!"

Ros shrugged. "There's no use panicking."

Before Tara could retort, a loud voice boomed from the sky.

"WELCOME CHALLENGERS." Tara pushed herself off the ground slowly. "YOU ARE HERE TODAY TO SURVIVE THIS FOREST AND ITS MANY HARDSHIPS. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT. YOU MAY NOT SURVIVE."

"Why do you want us? Why not someone with, well, survival expirence?" Ros said with a raised eyebrow.

"IT'S MORE INTERESTING THIS WAY."

"Alright. Fair enough."

"...THAT BRINGS ME TO MY NEXT STATEMENT. YOU ARE EACH ALLOWED ONE PERSON FROM YOUR WORLD-"

"Tom Hiddleston." Tara said without blinking.

"WHA...DON'T YOU WANT SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP YOU IN SOME WAY?"

"I said, I want Tom Hiddleston."

"FINE. WHATEVER."

There was a sudden blast of smoke, and in front of Tara appeared a stocky boy with curly red hair and a shirt with a nuclear symbol on it.

He glanced around. "What the heck?"

Tara narrowed her eyes. "That's my brother. Give me Tom Hiddleston."

Tara's brother turned to her. "Oh hey Tara. What-" there was another blast of smoke, and he disappeared, only to be replaced by a tall, thin man with auburn hair and a blue t-shirt. He was putting toothpaste on a toothbrush.

He jumped slightly. "Uh...what?...Where am I?

Tara quietly laid back down on the ground, mumbling incoherently.

"WELL...THAT SEEMS TO BE THE RIGHT MAN SINCE SHE'S REACTING THAT WAY. NOW...SECOND CHALLENGER. WHO WOULD YOU LIKE?"

Ros thought for a moment. "Hm.........oh! How about GoldenBlackHawk? That would be pretty cool."

"....I HAVE GIVEN UP ALL REASONING WITH YOU PEOPLE."

A blast of smoke appeared in front of Ros. As it dissipated, a woman with strawberry blonde hair stepped out.

"Rosel? What on earth? What's going on?"

That jarred Tara out of her stupor and she stood suddenly.

Ros shrieked.

"OH MY GOD NO THAT'S MY MOM PLEASE NO."

The voice groaned, and Ros's mother disappeared. Instead, she was replaced by a medium sized black haired boy in a white t-shirt and hoodie. He blinked and glanced around. "Did I...did I get teleported to someone's fanfiction? Oh god...."

Ros smiled. "Thank you disembodied voice!"

"YES. NOW, CHALLENGERS! YOU WILL WORK TOGETHER TO SURVIVE THESE UNFORGIVING WOODS! YOU SHALL BE TESTED TO THE BRINK OF YOUR EXTENT! AND NOW....BEGIN!" And with that the voice disappeared.

Everyone blinked and glanced around, confused. Ros was the first to break the silence.

"Guess your mom doesn't need to get you Tom Hiddleston for Christmas anymore."

Ros, Tara, Tom, and Kevin all exchanged pleasantries with much fangirl swooning before setting off. They weren't sure where, but they needed a place for a proper shelter.

"Well, I know we need a place with water. A stream or river or something." Tara glanced around.

Kevin crossed his arms. "And we've gotta make sure it's healthy. Like, boiling the water before we drink."

Tara nodded slightly and the group continued on. After a long while, Ros perked up.

"Hey guys, I hear running water up ahead."

"Finallyyyyyyyyyyy!" Tara clapped her hands together and thanked whatever god was listening. Tom chuckled, making Tara giggle

They pushed through some shrubs, opening to a wide stream.

"WATER OH SWEET MERCIFUL THOR LOOK AT ALL THAT WATER!" Tara yelled as she fist pumped the air.

Ros walked up behind Tara crossed her arms. "'Sweet merciful Thor'? When did you start saying that?"

"When Sir Hiddleston entered the picture."

Tom blinked. "Sir Hiddleston?"

"Yessir!!" Tara grinned.

"You know, we should start the shelter right about now." Kevin interrupted. "Tom was it? You and Tara should get the logs. Ros, you an I will get the leaves. Meet back here when you've got plenty. And don't got to far, we don't know what predators live here."

All the mentioned people nodded and set off in the two separate groups. Tara stayed close enough to Tom to touch him, but didn't. And Ros walked casually with Kevin, starting a conversation about video games and the Creatures.

After about an hour, they had a impressive stockpile of logs, twigs, and leaves.

"Are we doing that shelter that leans against a tree? Or uses tree branches?" Ros asked Kevin.

He nodded. "It seems it would be the most efficient."

Ros then turned to Tara and Tom, who were deep in conversation. "What are you two talking about?"

Tom smiled. "Tara was curious about my experience as Loki and my personal feelings about him."

"Heehee I was right! Tom is a cutie!" Tara giggled.

Ros rolled her eyes and gestured to help build the shelter. They walked over to a large tree in the clearing with thick, low hanging branches. They then proceeded to lean the largest logs against either side, making a tent shape. They then placed small branches with leaves or pine needles on them and piled them on the outside, filling n the gaps and reinforcing the walls.

"There!" Tara smiled and dusted off her hands. "Not the most spacious, but it'll do!"

"So....what now?" Ros blinked.

As if to answer her question, someone's stomach growled.

"Food it seems." Tom chuckled.

"Annnnnnnd how do we do that?" Tara asked.

They all turned to Kevin.

He sighed. "You know, it frightens me that I know all this stuff and you don't. I just play video games all day."

Sorry, I haven't been very focused on my two stories lately. I've been working with @Missxiaolong on a ImmortalAnex collaboration, sooooo......yeah. Be looking out for that! c:

And please know this is mostly for me to do when I'm bored. I'm not expecting many reads or anything XD
