We have been on the road for at least two hours already and I was still in the same clothes as yesterday, which I really couldn't care less about, but I had blood on the shirt, jeans and my shoes.
Also I still hadn't had breakfast. My tummy grumbled loudly indicating that I was dying of starvation, my dad chuckled and said "Don't worry kiddo, we will stop at the next gas station or cafe we see, okay?"
"Thanks daddy" I say smiling, but it soon drops as my stomach let's out another deathly grumble "Stop laughing dad, it's not funny" I say and lightly punch my laughing father on the shoulder.
"Hey, no hitting the driver" he says trying to stop laughing.
"Yeah haha laugh at the dying girl" I say sarcastically.
"What? Dying? What are you talking about?" He says snickering softly.
"I'm dying of starvation" I groan loudly.
"Look a cafe" my dad said pointing, to which I excitedly followed his finger only to find, bush! My face falls and I groan and turn to glare at my father, he bursts into another fit of laughing.
I turn my head away and look out the window so he won't see me smile, "its not funny dad!" I ground out.
"I'm sorry honey, hey look a cafe" he says.
"Not falling for it a second time dad, you are so not funny" I say staring at my phone. I feel the car turn and then park, confused I look up and well "foooooooddddd!" I scream, I turn to see my father smiling with his hands on his ears, I giggle "sorry daddy".
We get out of the car and stretch, "You ready?" My dad says looking over at me.
I nod singing "Food, glorious food, we're anxious to try it" my dad smile grows just a fraction.
"Stop singing you boof head" he says nudging me in the side.
As we walk into the cafe the first thing we noticed was that nearly everything was wood, the tables, chairs etc. Wowwe.
"Hi what can I get for you today" said an old perky looking lady from across the counter.
"Oh um just two legend breckies with two banana milkshakes" says my father.
The old lady punched our order in and smiled "that will be $29.30 please, are you eat in or take away?"
"Eat in please" said my dad kindly and handed her a $50 note.
Taking the money the old lady's smile never dropped "Here you go love, $20.70 change, just take a seat and I'll bring your food over when its ready." She said handing us a table number.
"Thank you mam" said my dad grabbing the number.
"No worries hun" she said and walked through a door I'm assuming lead to the kitchen.
My dad and I took a seat at a nearby table set for two and started chatting aimlessly waiting for our food. We didn't have to wait long because breakfast was served at least 10 minutes later. The breakfast was delicious and very filling.
