*Skull's P.O.V*
I woke up to something licking my face. I slowly opened my eyes but quickly snapped them shut due to the bright light. I laid there for a bit and felt something lick my face again. The thing mewed and then barked. I snapped my eyes open again and looked to see an animal that was half lion, half wolf. The head, front legs, and ears were of a lion. The tail, and back legs were of a wolf. It was small, it was pretty young to be out wandering about by itself.
I slowly sat up and looked around. I could tell that I was no where near the leaf village but that didnt mean that I couldnt look around for the village. I stood up and started walking away. I heard a meow and bark and looked down to see the little animal standing beside me, looking up at me. I looked at it and sighed.
"Do you want to come with me?" I asked it
'Yes I do.' A female voice said in my head
"Can you speak?" I asked her shocked
'Yes I can, but I guess only you can understand me.' She said and flicked her tail.
"Alright, well lets go." I said and bent down to pick her up, "Whats your name by the way?" I asked
'My name?' she asked
"Yea, you dont have a name?" I asked her
'No, I never heard of a name, what is a name?' She asked
"A name is something you are given to be called, and I think ill give you a name but that's gonna have to wait. Can anybody else hear you or am I the only one?" I asked her
'You are the only one, no one else can hear me unless they carry one of these.' She said and ran off to a bush.
She ran back toward me and dropped a bag at my feet. I bent down and grabbed the bag. I opened it and there were a bunch of stones in the bag. I looked down at her with a confused expression.
'These are dark stones, they have many different properties and powers but you have to figure out what they can do. I can tell you two of the powers but the rest you have to figure out for yourself, understand?' She asked
"I understand." I said as I put away the stones in my bag, "What are the two powers?" I asked her
'One of them is being able to talk to another person through your thoughts, they can hear and answer you and you can hear and answer them. The other power is for you and the person to talk to other animals.' She said and jumped onto my shoulder.
"Alright, then lets head off on an adventure." I said and started walking off in a random direction
*I may not have a good sense of direction but as long as I just keep walking ill end up at a village soon.* I thought to myself as I kept walking
I walked for a couple of hours and stopped. I looked around and jumped into a tree as quickly as I could. I climbed to the highest point of the tree and looked around. There was a village a few miles to the left and another village a couple miles to the right.
*Hmmm.....If I go to the right ill hit a village that looks kind of dark and mysterious, but if I go to the left then ill hit a village that looks a little too happy. Which should I choose?* I thought to myself as I sat on top of the tree looking from left to right.
I suddenly heard a loud howl rip through the air as I sat on the branch. My ears twitched and I looked down to see a wolf about 3 feet tall sniffing the ground at the tree that I was hiding in. I quietly moved down a few branches and sat on a branch behind some leaves.
