The Mating Games (Werewolf Hunger Games)

I ran wildly through the foliage, my breath fogged in front of me then wizzed by as i pushed my feet to run faster.

i heard screams of the poor girls around me and they were marked and imprinted against their will, i cried and sobbed, as 7 cannons roared above my head signaling 7 girls marked, leaving 5 of us left...they games rarily lasted more then 2 days. i sobbed and whipped my eyes and i leapt up a tree, scrambling up the branches and hiding in the shadows. my breathing was heavy and ragged. I whimpered as I recongnized the agonizing scream of Foxface.

I heard Cato's hypnotizing voice calling me, my body instinctively leaned forward, "Ever? Ever, please its me, I don't want to hurt you, but I NEED to mark you before anyone else" he pleaded. My human body pleaded with my mind to drop into his arms, but my wolf yearned for the arms of Peeta, and his wolf.

I whimpered, my inner struggle made my brain hurt. Cato's head snapped toward my direction, his brilliant face lit up with a radiant smile so great my heart clenched. "Ever..." his sexy voice was low and full of relief but beneath it laid lust and need for my body and wolf.

"NOOOO!!!!" The cry ripped through me with such a great force, birds scattered away, I leapt to the next branch NEEDING to stay free, no matter what my horomones wanted me to do I NEEDED to stay free, if I stayed unmarked for a week I could go home, but if one of them claimed me I would be taken to their Pack.

I scrambled as Cato, cried for me to stop and then I was falling. I didn't feel the impack of Glimmer tackling me out of the tree until seconds before I hit the ground, my breath was forced from my lungs in a WHOOSH.

A knife was held to my throat, Glimmers furious face hovered over mine, "Hows it going, Bitch? How does it feel to know your going to die while your family and friends watch?" she gloated, dragging the blade down my face in a wicked caress, I felt the hot, thick blood drip down my face and pool over my neck and my hair before I felt the stinging pain.

'Why...why me? How did this even happen to me of all people?!?'
