As Asa and Spencer twisted the shiny gold door knob and entered their house, something about the silence wasn't right. It was never this quiet, especially at that time of day.

"Is anyone here?" Spencer yelled from the front door. She dropped her bag and walked into the kitchen.

"Where is mom and dad. They're always home." Asa said as he followed Spencer into the kitchen. As they opened the fridge, they noticed a fast movement out of the corner of their eyes.

"Hello?" Spencer said with a shake in her voice.

"Mom? Dad? Anyone?" Asa yelled as they felt another whip of wind in the air. Spencer hid behind Asa as another gust of wind flew out.

"Wait a minute!" Spencer yelled with a little bit of anger in her voice, "Who do we know who's the fastest and greatest at hiding in our school?"

"Liley. Why?" Asa questioned with a wierd look. Liley was the only person in the school who accepted the Kingsley family (besides her boyfriend, Cameron.) She was mostly an outcast, but she had her moments when she was accepted. Suddenly, a crash rang out through the house and the screams of Asa and Spencer followed.

"You guys are too easy to scare." A voice said with a laugh. After the voice  was heard, the anger Asa and Spencer felt turned into rage. They turned around to see Liley standing under a missing panel in the ceiling of the house.

"How did you get in here?" Asa asked as Liley brushed some dust off her black t-shirt.

"Don't you see the missing panel?" she said as she pointed up, "Don't worry. I'll fix it before your parents get home."

"Do you know where our parents are?" Spencer asked.

"No. Sorry guys. Speaking of missing people, have you seen Cameron? I haven't seen him in a while." As Asa was about to say no, something else came out of the hole in the ceiling and crashed to the ground.

"What was that?" Spencer yelled as Liley and Asa helped the unidentified thing to it's feet.

"Cameron!" Liley exclaimed as she hugged the person. As Asa and Spencer looked closer at the thing, they realized that it really was Cameron; covered in insulation, dust, and what looked like broken wires of electronics.

'Liley really knows her boyfriend.' Spencer thought as she wished she could one day have a relationship like theirs.

"Why were you in the ceiling so long?" Liley asked as they both started to brush the things from the ceiling off their clothes.

"I have some amazing news!" Cameron said as he pushed his brown, curly hair back into place.

"What is it?" Asa asked in wonder, hoping the news was about all of them.

"I got a phone call in the vents. That's why I was late getting out of the ceiling." he said while looking down at Liley. After a minute, his focus was back on all of them. "We are......" Be was cut short as the front door shook as someone started to come into the house.

"We have to go!" Liley whisper shouted to Cameron as they raced under the empty hole in the roof.

"Wait!" Spencer yelled, "What's the great news!" But before Cameron could tell, him and Liley were back into the ceiling and the panel was back into place.

"Who could that be?" Asa yelled as the door opened and the people walked into the house. It was their mom and dad.

"They had to come the one time that something good was about to happen." Spencer whispered to Asa.

"Yeah." he whispered back, "They always come at the worst times."

"The next time we get home from school, get ready for a loud bang or go into the vents".
