5- making friends

We are skating down the hill to the shops and Georgia overtakes me.
"Where did you learn to skate?" She yells as she passes me.
"I taught myself so I could get away from the guys quicker" I yell back. We doge pedestrians. We pass the skatepark and I see, Daniel, Jack and Jack, the Dolan twins and Cameron there so I hide my face and we keep skating. They didn't see us.

We pull up in front of a burger and fries restaurant and we take an outdoor seat with a view of the ocean and beach with a few palm trees.
"This is nice" she says. I nod. This is amazing.
"So what do we do now?" I ask.
"Have you never been to a restaurant before!?" She raises her voice. I shake my head.
"I'm taking you out as much as I can now. Girl your life just began" she says. The waiter comes over. I have to admit he is pretty good looking.
"Ew what are you doing here?" Georgia says to the waiter.
"You know I work here" the guys says. I think they know each other. "What did you guys want" he asks.
"You choose" I say to Georgia.
"Ummm.... 2 BURGERS with the lot and a side dish of chips. Did you want a drink Katie?" She asks.
"Can I just have a lemon lime and bitters please?" I ask. He nods and walks away.

"Sorry that was my cousin" she says.
"That. Was your cousin!?" I ask chuckling. She nods.
"Do you like him!?" He asks EYES widen.
"Phffff! No. ew. Me? Like that thing? I don't think so!" I say. She smirks. And I just look away do avoid eye contact.
"I'm so surprised you have never been to a restaurant before!" She says breaking the silence. I nod.

A group of little kids walk on the path on the other side of the road. They are all dressed up like gangsters and they are trying to walk like a gangster but completely fail. Georgia and I crack up laughing. I, having such a good time here. I'm really glad I met Georgia.
"Hey Katie!" I hear a voice behind me and a hand on my shoulder. Georgia shuts up and eyes them off. I know how it is.
"I always knew you were a lesbian" Cameron says. Georgia stands up.
"EXCUSE ME!? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? We are the best of friends and this is what best friends do, we go to restaurants and if I don't know any better I think your just jealous because I get to hang out with a girl so special and you don't!" She stands up. Now she is right informs of Cameron and right in his face.

Cameron chuckles.
"Me? Jealous? I don't think so honey. I would punch you right now but we are in public soo..." he says.
"I'm not afraid of you" Georgia says. She stomps on his foot and Cameron tries to hold in the pain.
"You're going to regret that" he says sternly.
"Sure" she says and goes sit back down. I try to keep in my laughter but I'm so scared what they are going to do to her tomorrow at school.

Cameron continues walking and Daniel and Jacob S follow him. I didn't even know they were there. When Daniel passes me he yanks on my hair making my head fly back.
"Ow!" I yelp. Daniel laughs and they walk off.
"Great job" I say making sure they are gone. "Now Cameron's going to bash you tomorrow."
"Sorry." She looks down.
"It's fine, you were just trying to help." I try to help. I have know idea why she said sorry.

"Anyway!" She chirps. "Wanna have a movie marathon tonight?" She smirks. I nod. I barely ever get to watch movies. Georgias brother walks up and gives us our drinks.
"I was actually having a good time till I saw your face" Georgia says to her cousin.
"I went blind the first time I saw you" he says.
"Yeah cause I'm so pretty" Georgia talks back.
"Ha! You wish"
"I don't need too" she smirks. He grunts and walks off.
"I always win" Georgia smiles. "Tim and I fight like brother and sister, it's really funny" she says. I'm assuming Tim is her cousin the waiter.
I take a sip of my drink and look out at the beach.

Well that was not all a disaster. The food is presented on our table and after eating half the burger and like 5 chips, I got full.
"Are you going to eat that?" Georgia asks pointing to my food. I shake my head.
"I'm full" I say. "I don't eat much" she grabs my burger and starts eating it. Lol. Georgia leaves a $20 note on the table and we get up and leave on our skateboard. I chase Georgia into her garage and we chuck the skateboards in a corner and run up to her room. It's massive.
"Wow. This is your room?!" I gasp. She smiles and nods. "Its amazing!" I add.
"Thanks, my dad got a raise in his job so we could pay for a larger house" she says.

"Omg! Do you want to do a challenge on YouTube?" She says.
"What kind of challenge?" I ask.
"Ummmm, food challenge?" She says.
"Ok" we walk down to the pantry and grab 5 good foods and five bad foods. We take them up to her room and she writes all the ingredients on paper and rips it so on one piece of paper, is one ingredient. Then Georgia sets up a camera.

"So. Hey guys. Georgia Herrin here. This is my new best friend, Katie. She lives next door and I just moved in and when we met we just clicked. But anyway! We are going to be doing a food challenge today! Yayayaayyaayay! Soo um, we have 5 good foods here and 5 bad ones and on each of these pieces of papers in the bowel is one of the ingredients. Ok, rock, paper, scissors to see who goes first" she says to the camera. We play Rock Paper Scissors and I look
Se so I put my hand in the bowel and choose a piece of paper.

I look at it and it says, 'teaspoon of peanut butter".
"No! That's my favourite" Georgia laughs. I grab a teaspoon and put it in the peanut butter and I eat it.
"Your turn" I smirk. Georgia puts her hand in the bowel and pulls out one.
"Raw Brussel sprouts" she says. We both shiver and I laugh at her result.
