A/n, I've decided I'm not going to do chapter titles because it's just too much of a hassle

**around about midnight**

I wake up to a dark room and quiet snores. I check my phone. It's 12:14. Ugh. Georgia is sleeping next to me. We fell asleep on the couch watch a movie which I found very boring. I walk over to the window and open it up to see how cold it is. On my phone I have an app where it measures the temperature around it. So I open the app and reach out the window with my phone to see but before I can read it I drop it and I lands on the soft grass two floors down.

Great. Now I have to go outside to get it. I get up and put my hoodie on. I quietly walk down stairs trying not to wake anyone up. At home, if I was caught out of my room after dark I would get a beating from mom and dad. I slowly open the front door and walk around to where the phone dropped. I see it laying there and I pick it up. It's not smashed. How? How is this possible?! Best phone on earth, right here!

I start to walk back to the front yard so I can get inside but I hear a stick snap. I stop walking and look around without moving my feet. Oh yeah. Did I mention I'm terrified of the dark? Well, I am. Then all of a sudden I get pushed into the wall hard. I look up to see Daniel with Aaron and Carter behind him.
"Your not meant to be out of bed Kaitlin. It's past your bed time" he says pushing me harder against the wall.
"Let me go inside" I say trying to push him away. It doesn't work.
"Don't talk back to me!" Daniel says and he punches me in the stomach. I bend over holding my waist in my arms.

I don't know why that hurt.
"You're a fat, ugly, slut. Do us a favour and go kill yourself." He says. He slaps me across the face and they walk off laughing. I run to the door and open it getting inside. I quietly tip toe back up stairs and lay down on the couch that is not taken. I slowly sob myself to sleep.

I wake up to the smell of fresh pancakes. I smile.
"Katie. Get up" Georgia says. She smiles and hits my face with a pillow. I sit up and rub my eyes. I'm not a fighter. I smile and stand up with her.
"I'm so excited for my first day of school" she says jumping up and down. SHCOOL! Oh my gosh, I completely forgot. I grab her hand and we run downstairs. Her dad gives us each a plate of pancakes.
"Thank you..."
"Oh, Josh" he says. I smile.
"Thanks Josh"
He nods his head and Gia and I start reading. 'Gia', I like that.
"Can I call you Gia?" I ask. She smiles and nods. Yes.

We finish our pancakes and we walk back up to her room. I get into some clothes I packed for today.

I walk out of the bathroom to see Gia already dressed.
"Are you ready?" She asks. I'm always terrified of going to school knowing everyday will end up terrible but I just smile and nod. Gia walks up to me.
"It's going to be fine. I'll be there" she says. I nod still not believing her and we walk down to the kitchen and chuck a few snacks in our bags.

We walk out of the house together and continue down the path. Then Johnny slides in between us with his skateboard making me almost fall over. Then Shawn, Daniel and Jacob S follow him on their boards. Daniel smacked my ass as he rode past and Gia put the finger up for me.
"Smile." I hear Gia say. I turn around and see her with her phone and I laugh at the fact she is taking a photo. Then she Shows it to me.

(Pretend she has that beanie on and that hair but the rest of her clothes as shown in picture before) "Ugh I look terrible. Delete it"
"Never, you look amazing" she say putting her phone in her pocket. Great. We continue walking.
"So do you think any guys are hot?" She asks, I give her the 'really?' Look and she looks away.
"Oops" she giggles. I giggle along. Why would I like anyone who bully's me? Except Shawn and Daniel are like the best singers on the planet but I would never admit that out loud.

We get to the school and we get a few looks. Yes. New student. Hooray.
"The slut got a friend. Now?" I turn around to see Ricky, Kian and Jc.
"Best friend actually." Gia says with her chin up. "And she's not a slut so back off" she puts her arm around my neck and we walk off. I show Gia the spare locker next to mine and she opens it. I don't know how but she does and she gets her own lock out of her bag, one she probably knows the code to and she puts it on her locker, and she grabs an empty book that were supplied for her.

"I need to go to the office to grab my timetable" she says. I nod and I follow her. Great! In front of the office is Daniel, Shawn, Cameron, Nash, Carter, Aaron, Johnson, Gilinsky, Hayes, Matt and Taylor. They all stare at us and we push past them to get to the office. The office lady looks up at us. I keep on turning around too see the guys staring at us through the window. That's not creepy at all. We decide to go out the back door where the guys aren't, and while we walk I look at Gia's timetable. Today we have periods 1,2,4,6, 8 and 9 together. Period 6 is lunch. I'm so glad we have most of the same classes.

We have Maths and Science first. Fun. The bell goes and we make our way to class.
"Are you nervous?" I ask Gia trying to tease her for fun.
"No. what are you talking about!?" She says. Yeah. She is. I chuckle and I let her choose where to sit. She chose at the back in the corner closest to the door and I sat next to her. Daniel and Jacob W walk in and Daniel sits next to me. Gia doesn't say anything, not yet anyway.
I look the other way so I don't have to look at Daniel.
