i am an ocean,
restless waves
thanatotic depth.
at night,
when the moonlight
hugs my waters,
it unravels the hidden secrets,
the wrecked battleships within me.
they carry history that i witnessed
but never knew the whole story.
i was part of the plot
but never part of the war;
i was left with the remains of battle,
the scars of countless tales.
i am a shelter for death,
but the photographs only tell
the beauty of my surface.
