Chapter 6: Mates and Hot Werewolves

Harper's POV

The newest and biggest wolf jumps through the trees with it's teeth bared and snarling. Overall it looks downright menacing and ready to tear my head off. But then surprisingly it stops mid-run and jogs back behind the trees.

Before I have time to process why my head isn't being ripped off, Lexis comes running through the trees. But skids to a stop when he sees my predicament.

"Oh I probably should've warned you about this side of the forest and the werewolves," he says looking between the two wolves cautiously.

"WEREWOLVES? PROBABLY!" I shout frantically. "You definitely should have told me about this! Are you telling me these aren't wild animals?" I ask.

"Yeah, my bad and yes those are werewolves," Lexis nods.

"Oh then I should probably tell you there's one behind that tree over there, though he smells significantly more pleasant than these two," I inform him.

"I know, I smell him, but he smells the same as the other two to me," Lexis says.

"What? He smells way better," I argue.

"He has O positive blood, but he still smells like a werewolf," Lexis argues.

Before I can say anything back, the most attractive guy I've ever seen walks through the trees. He has black hair, with a messy look that somehow still looks stylish. He has gray eyes and a strong jawline. He has these plump pink lips that somehow look masculine and utterly kissable. He only has on a pair of basketball shorts and his drool worthy chest is on full display to me. Holy moly! Is that an eight pack? I'm kidding and exaggerating, it's totally a six pack. But it's still hot as Hell. He looks to be about 6'3 tall.

"You're drooling," Lexis chuckles. "I thought you never drool," he mocks me.

While at the same time the hot werewolf snaps, "Could you not talk about my blood type like I'm your next snack?"

I'm so stunned I can't even think of a witty retort for Lexis or an excuse for the werewolf.

"We weren't planning to have you for dinner, we were just arguing about how you smell," Lexis defends.

"While talking about my blood."

"It wasn't the main subject though," Lexis argues. I'm starting to think he can argue with anyone.

"Oh Jared and Cole you can stop circling her, she's my mate," the werewolf says casually but I hear an undertone of frustration in his voice.

"Mate!" Lexis says in a choked voice sounding shocked as the two wolves stop circling me.

"What's a mate?" I ask thoroughly confused.

"Just get out of the water," the werewolf commands.

"We'll talk about it later," Lexis says.

"Don't tell me what to do," I glare at the hot werewolf who claims to be my mate.

"Yeah only I can tell her what to do," Lexis adds.

"No you can't," I hiss at him. "I'm only getting out because I've been in here like forever." I grumble about demanding werewolves and stupid vampire teachers as I climb out of the water.

The hot werewolf appears in front of me and tries to block me from the others. "Look away!" He growls at the three other guys there.

The two werewolves immediately trot into the trees, but Lexis just looks at him. "Oh I get it, you're an Alpha," Lexis says.
