Glitch woke up with a jolt. She was laying in a puddle of sweat. Her bottom lip began to quiver. That was the third time she'd had that dream. She shuddered as she replayed the scene in her head. She rolled over and looked at her clock. It read 2:13.
Great. And now I can't go back to sleep.
She kicked the sheets off angrily as she rubbed the sleep put of her eyes. She could feel herself glitching out again. She did that when she was mad or nervous or upset or angry or worried or scared. And she probably would do it to whenever she fell in love. She currently hated the world. Life was so unfair. And she was unwanted. Unloved.
A mistake. A "glitch in the system," as some would say. She had nobody. Nobody except her two best friends, Britton and Buffy. At least she had her YouTube. That was all she ever did. She never went outside anymore. People would always laugh. Call her names. Threaten her.Glitch fumbled with her closet door handle and managed to open it. She was freezing, like she always was whenever she had that dream. She peered into the darkness and made out her favorite gray sweater dress. She grabbed the dress and a black spaghetti-strap tank-top and threw them on. She walked over to her dresser and tripped over her pair of favorite black flats. She grumbled as she bent over and picked up the shoes and placed them on the bed. She was weak too. She had no idea what this dream was doing to her or why she had it, but whatever the reason it always affected her greatly. She grimly opened the drawer and pulls out some leggings. She pulled them on followed by her shoes.
She made her way over to her door in the darkness. When she managed to find it, she opened it and walked to the bathroom. She turned on the light. Her face was pale. She sighed and rubbed her eyes. She turned on the faucet and splashed her face with water. She mumbled as she dried her face off, went back to her room, unplugged her phone, and trudged down the stairs to her kitchen. She opened the fridge and pulled out a Fanta and a piece of leftover peanut butter brownie from last night that Britton's mom had made for her and Buffy to take home with them. They had been watching Harry Potter.
Glitch signed as she sat down at the table. She cracked open her Fanta and turned on her phone. It was 2:30. She groaned and pulled up YouTube. She clicked on notifications, excited when she saw a new notification. She cheered up when she saw that her favorite YouTuber, Mithzan-or Max, had uploaded. Excitedly, she clicked on the video.
