Once I woke up, Leona was gone. Probably home, getting ready, eating breakfast. Something like that.
I eventually got to school after a good hour of doing my daily routine. Ethan was standing in the hallway, leaning against a locker in a muscle tee. I bite my lip, admiring what a Beauty Ethan was.
"Hey," I nudge his shoulder, grabbing his attention.
"Hey shorty," he smiles, nudging me back.
I wasn't that short compared to him. He was like 5'11 and I was 5'3. I was still a few levels beneath him.
"Don't fucking call me that," I snarl, rolling my eyes.
There was one thing that pissed me off the most and it was my height. It didn't take much to get me worked up about it too. I know I'm not that short but people at my school tend to always be taller than me and I also tend to get called shorty a lot. I try to not let it bother me but it happens so often that it just does.
"Chill. It's Just a joke," he puts his hands up in surrender, giggling at me.
"I don't care if it was "just a joke" don't call me that." I say, putting the words just a joke in quotation.
I start to walk away but I feel him grab me and I try to pull back. But, I couldn't pull away, he was way too strong.
"Get the hell off of me," I yank my wrist, trying to get free but his hands have such a good grip around them.
"You're seriously gonna be pissed at me for calling you shorty?" He raises his eyebrow at me.
"Yeah? Wouldn't you be pissed if I called you a name that made fun of your height?" I asked.
"No,"
"Whatever, I didn't want to come to school today and then you had to pop in my life and my, uh, I came just for you and-" he cuts me off, smirking at me.
"You what?"
I didn't realize what I said until I said it a few times. I told him I came just for him and to be honest, I wasn't lying. But, I didn't want to tell him that, yet.
I start to walk away, embarrassed as hell, but, he once again pulls me back.
"I didn't mean to-" he cuts me off again but instead of saying something he kisses me.
I wasn't sure what to do. I clearly kissed him back since I've been dying to from the start. His lips were soft as I thought they'd be. I pull away, making eye contact with Leona. She seems happy, smiling at me with her cute signature smile of hers.
"Hey, guys," she smiles at me.
"Hey," we both say.
We look at each other, brushing us off. We tried making things not look so obvious but it was too late.
"Did you see anything?" I asked, twirling a piece of hair in my fingers.
"What? You guys kissing?"
I scoff, Walking away into another hallway where my classroom was at. Leona pretty much had the same schedule as I did so this class was hers too. She comes in, sitting next to me.
"Are you mad?" She asks, confused as to why I would be mad.
"No," I smile, shaking my head. I promised her one thing and it was to never lie to her about how I felt. What my emotions were. To never, ever keep them from her. So that's what I did. Stayed true to her no matter what.
"Are you guys dating?"
"Not...yet," It takes a bit for me to say that. I wasn't sure what would've happened but a kiss can't just be left like that and not taken care of In the future. Not to me.
I see Ethan walk past my classroom. He sees me and we make eye contact. Those hazel eyes of his just staring at me. He smiles and walks away.
I sigh.
"Well, fuck,"
