Hello everybody this is a book based off the game Rise son of Rome. You don't need to watch the game just try to follow along. Now I bring you the introduction to Rise Son of Rome!

Introduction
The emperor was running...running through his castle with the roof crumbling around him.He was running until he fell. He laid on his hands and knees starring up at this large white statue with a sword and shield. The sword was pointing straight into the air.
"He's here.Gods help me, He has come to kill me! He's here!He's here, He's here! Help me! help me!" The emperor said pleading to this godly statue.
The emperor ran outside onto the balcony yelling "He's here, he's here, he's here!" He put his hands on the balcony leaning against it like a typical Roman emperor. He looked down upon all his roman soldiers battling the enemy...the barbarians.
"Defend your emperor!I, Nero Germanicus command you to defend your emperor!!" And there I was a Roman soldier general. I was stabbing a man through his abdomen when I heard "Why have you abandoned me?me, your emperor!" I turned around and looked directly at the emperor. I looked behind me and said "Centerion severus to me! Display this from the highest place you can find! When the barbarians see it they will run! The battle will be ours!!" I handed him a blood stained bag. I had a new mission now. I had to get to the emperor. As I battled man after man there were flaming arrows coming at me, but not one of them could hit me. As I travel to the emperor I see dead bodies...not just the enemies but roman dead bodies also.
"The barbarians are closing in on the palace gates!We need to get to them and hold them back!Forward men!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. All that was holding the barbarians off from getting the emperor was the line of Romans. My job was to push the ladders off the bridge so that they couldn't come up. So that's just what I did. I pushed ladders and fought my way to the line of barbarians. My archers fired arrows at the line of barbarians and to my surprise they all dropped to the ground.
"Barbarians!" one of my men yelled. I turned around and there they were...tons of barbarians coming right toward our line of defense.
"Status of the defense soldier!" I said.
"Yes,sir. Most of the eighteenth legion is still combat effective.We have three auxiliary units at your command. Scorpio's, archers, and catapult nest." I told my men to form a line at a flanks and the entrance bridge. I myself was on the Scorpio which is simply a crossbow.
"Hold the line men!hold!" I yelled to my men.
"sir the line can't hold much longer!"
"Order the catapult nest to line up in the courtyard!Fire on my command! Catapult fire!" I demanded. All I saw was three flaming balls of hard rock coming towards me. It took out most of the men but their numbers were still to great.We still managed to hold them back though.
"sir, we held them back. Only a handful managed to slip into the palace." A soldier told me.I opened the palace doors only to be greeted by the emperor.
"He's here! Help me! Come on you!" The emperor said.
"My emperor the defenses have been breached." I said.
"I'm not worried about the barbarians i'm worried about HIM!"
"We need to get you somewhere secure."
"Secure? No where is secure from this...this...demand!"
"We need to get you to a safe place. Are your chambers?"
"My chambers?no,no the vaults! This way!"
The emperor led me to the vault. Of course I met some trouble along the way, but nothing that I couldn't handle. I guided the emperor to this secret vault.
"Here quickly!" The emperor said while opening the door. I holstered my sword firmly on my waist. And grabbed a torch to give us light.
"Damocles has risen from the dead. I swear it!"
"Damocles?" I responded. "Damocles is a myth. Only men kill men my emperor. The gods may guide us. They never interfere with the affairs of mortals."
"Oh and what great oracle told you this, General?!"
"My father..." We entered the room. It was a fairly secure room and I lit the bowls to create more light.
"But you..what family- what's your name soldier?"
"Marious. But my name is of no importance.My story however is."
