It was hard to comprehend what had just happened. It's not something that you would regularly witness. One wouldn't know what to think or what to say.

None of the teens know what to say. It all seemed so unreal. Astrid looks worriedly over at Hiccup. He paces back and forth, his hands running through his hair. She walks over to him and rests a hand on his shoulders.

"Hiccup, calm down. Please. Everything will be fine."

"No... It won't. He will... find the nest... and will get... hurt." He says and he looks into her eyes. Even though everything his father had put him through, Astrid can still see how deeply Hiccup cares about his father.

"Hiccup, they won't find it. I promise. You didn't say how you found it  when you ran away."

Hiccup pauses. "Yeah... But still."

"'But' nothing. Now, tell me how you found the nest. Maybe, there could still be a way to fix all this." Astrid says, trying to sound reassuring.

Hiccup glances at Toothless, who was watching Hiccup as he paced. Astrid was surprised when she saw concern in the dragon's large green eyes.

"Hiccup, if you just go and tell your dad what you told us about Toothless, he'll understand. Just trust me. You need to do something and pacing and worrying about it won't solve anything."

"We now have a traitor on our home! He has gone to side with these beasts! That traitor is none other than Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third!"

Viking gasp, then start whispering how this could've happened. They always knew Hiccup was different. His personality and size confirmed that. After he had ran away all those years ago, nobody really thought much of him. They were too busy trying to rebuild their village many times. Those dragon raids them lose numbers. Made them lose many supplies. And most of their dignity.

"Five years ago, he was pronounced dead. We all thought he was eaten by a dragon. That would've saved me the disappointment when I found out he had a pet dragon! A Night Fury no less!"

Some Vikings are confused as to how this could've happened. How that once small, scrawny boyish Viking had managed to betray his people and side with the dragons.

Others were doubtful. They didn't believe that Hiccup the Useless could do such a thing. The boy was scared of his own shadow. There isn't any possible way that he would do this.

The rest? They were conflicted. They were either too shocked or too angry to show how they are feeling.

Suddenly, commotion outside disrupts the town meeting. All Vikings look towards the large Mead Hall doors as they are pushed open.
