Gone (HTTYD Fanfic) REWRITE [Book 5]

The moon is high in the sky as it's light shines down on the teens, all fallen asleep. The burnt wood is smoking after the fire finally died out.

But the peace is quickly diminished when they hear a scream through the woods. They look towards the direction of the noise, they all see Tuffnut running out of the woods, screaming.

They all stand up and walk over to him, as him bends over, trying to catch his breathe. He stumbles over his words, trying to tell them what happened. "Chicken, roaring! Roaring huge chicken! Chicken roar!" He yells, waving his arms around.

They are all confused, not being able to piece together what had happened. "Lad, are ye, sayin' ye saw a big roarin' chicken?" Gobber says, asking what everyone was thinking. "Not chicken," He says breathless, "dragon. Huge. Massive. What's that other word? Colassal."

"But what happened to the chicken?" Fishlegs asks confused.

"Forget the chicken!" Tuffnut yells, upset that they aren't worried about the dragon. "We gotta get out of here!" 

Astrid yawns, annoyed. Tuffnut had woken up when she was having one of those 'dreams'. She was irritated because when she had that last dream, she hadn't seen Hiccup to make sure he was okay. When she was writing those letters, it was weird because she can't remember being in that room, just the letters and memories. But the dream she was having, she got to see Hiccup, "alive" and talking to her. And Tuffnut ruined it. Those dreams are the closets thing she has to actually seeing Hiccup. "Is anyone else falling for this?" Astrid says annoyed and a little upset. Ruffnut walks over to Tuffnut, scratching her head. 

"I don't know. I haven't him this freaked out since he found a leach on his-"

Astrid, knowing what Ruffnut was going to say, interrupted her. She'd rather not hear about that. "Okay, I'm going to stop you right there." Astrid says disgusted.

Gobber groans. " A'right lad, lets go see wha' got ye so spooked." They all grumble in agreement and follow Tuffnut into the forest. 

Tuffnut leads them back to where he saw they dragon. "Okay, so when this giant beast rips us limb from limb, I will expect a full apology from each and every one of you. And a hand shake. No, you won't be able to shake hands because you're limbs will be gone." Just then, they hear a rustle in the bushes. Tuffnut shushes them all, even though none of them were talking. 

He jumps out from behind the bush with a yell, and looks as if he was getting ready to fight a dragon. Astrid watches him with a raised eyebrow, wishing that she can just go back to sleep.

Astrid looks unimpressed when she sees a chicken walk towards Tuffnut. He looks at the chicken confused.

"No no no! It was here and it was huge!" Tuffnut says gesturing widely with his hands. "I am telling the truth. Here, you tell them. You were standing right there. Tell them chicken." He says to the chicken.

Ruffnut walks towards him. She has a look of confusion across her face. "Uh... you're scaring me bro. Kay? And we shared a womb." She says as if she is ashamed. She walks away and the others follow. 

Tuffnut looks down at the chicken. "I can't even look at you right now..." He says ashamed.
