"And then he said to the president, "I'm a crab" Clarke finished laughing at a joke she made. Lexa couldn't hold in the waves of laughter that escaped her after that, the joke was terrible, yet she was sitting there all squinty eyed and crinkly nosed, Clarke stared at her new friend proudly, then bursting into laughter as well. They were both in Lexa's room, laughing at everything and nothing like two drunkards, Clarke enjoyed it. She couldn't think of a better way to spend her weekend. It was just 1pm when she lit up like a lamp indicating she got an idea.
"Hey Lexa, how long does it take you to pack?" Clarke asked trying to follow up with her amazing idea to cheer Lexa up. "Depends. What are you planning?" Lexa smiled noticing the blondes thoughtful face, she could get used to this. "Let's go on an adventure." Clarke said so eagerly, Lexa thought she was going to burst. "Clarke I don't know, is it safe? What about your parents I-" Lexa started but was quickly cut off with Clarke jumping off the bed and pulling out a visible duffel bag from under Lexa's bed, Lexa chuckled knowing she had no other choice but to comply with what Clarke wanted, "fine then, just pack whatever you want from me closet, and I'll go tell mom." Lexa said getting up from her previous spot on the bed.
Clarke's eyes lit up as soon as she realized, she had the freedom to pack whatever she wanted into Lexa's bag. She opened the door to Lexa's tiny walk in closet, and started picking out what she thought fitted best for their road trip, her eyes skimmed some lacy underwear and she slyly shoved two of them into the back because hey, a girl can dream.meanwhile Lexa slowly walked into the kitchen where her mom was feeding Lexa's younger sister. "Clarke wants to go on an 'adventure' as she calls it. Is that okay with you?" Lexa said gaining her mother's full attention, Lexa expected some sort of disagreement but for some reason her mother smiled really wide and got up from her chair, quickly running into Lexa's room, where Clarke had finished packing, clearly yelling to Lexa that she needed to talk to Clarke in private, so Lexa just made her way back into the kitchen, sitting down where her mom previously was, and staring at her 6 year old sister. "Do you think this is a good idea Alycia?" Lexa sighed deeply, knowing her sister wouldn't understand, Alycia just giggled at Lexa. "I like Clarkey" she mumbled. Lexa smiled at that fondly, hearing the blonde's name made her feel warm inside.
Clarke was just finishing up everything as the door swung open and a very excited mother came in, smiling widely at Clarke, then looking back to make sure Lexa didn't follow her. She motioned for Clarke to join her on the bed, and Clarke complied, still kind of confused as to why Lexa's mother wanted to talk to her, "ma'am I understand if you don't want Lexa to-" she was cut off with a huge hug, Clarke didn't know how to react, so she just awkwardly wrapped her arms around Lexa's mother. "Thank you." She whispered. "For what?" Clarke asked, genuine concern showing on her face. "She's so happy, you're making her happy." Lexa's mom said feeling like the whole world was changing for the better, "you girls can borrow my car, as long as you know school starts in 7 weeks and you've gotta be back before that." She said sounding very motherly. And before she left she looked back at Clarke and said "here's my number, Lexa tends to have some.. Difficulties, so if you need any help with that call me. And anytime you need to talk about anything, consider me like your mother." She smiled at Clarke giving her a paper with her phone number on it. "Thank you ma'am it's very appreciated." Clarke smiled feeling like this woman was more family to her than her own mother. "Oh please, call me Claire" she said smiling softly at Clarke before walking out of there room.
Lexa walked back in looking up at Clarke with a smile, "I Hope she didn't freak you out?" Lexa said seriously with a hint of a laugh in her voice. "Not at all." Clarke grinned, "Would you mind passing by my place so I could get my stuff?" Clarke said slowly, not sure if Lexa would want to, but Lexa quickly nodded and motioned for Clarke to come closer so she could hug her, Clarke knew that it was just Lexa's way of thanking her for being a good friend. "Ready?" Lexa asked.
"Ready." Clarke whispered.Authors note; sooo the plot's slowly starting to be introduced, I hope you guys like this Bc it takes lots of effort to think about
