Norman's POV

"bate's house"

p.s. I'm on bate's motel s2ep1 and this story is no way near that show lol

As we walked up the giant steps above it gave me a moment to think. And I just realized that besides Marah making me nervous; I actually think I am starting to really like her. It's strange how the thought of blood excited me, yet she created something inside of the pit of my stomach; which made me curious to the notion.

It made me feel quite uneasy, though I think I might like the feeling actually. Feeling anything currently made me feel sort of.. Normal and human even.

And I just surely hope we can be friends and make this friendship last. Because I would surely not want to hurt a nice girl like her.

Mother wouldn't like that or there'd be too much to clean up.

The roar of thunder rattle my ongoing thoughts as we make it up to the house.

"Norman this house is pretty--"

"Creepy? Spooky? A sort of sinister a--"

"Whoa, Norman slow down. And yes, to all of the above. It's just I--"

"Are you scared?"

"Norman, I'm--"

"Okay, you're scared. This was a bad idea. Maybe I should take you back to your motel room."

"Wait, Norman, I'm fine,"

"Are you absolutely sure about that?"

"Yes, of course I'm sure. Why wouldn't I be? Is there a monster who's going get me or something?"

"Mmm, I don't know Marah."

"Um, know what?"

"Just that these thunderstorms get pretty monstrous. I just wanted you to feel safe, that's all."

"Ha-ha rainstorms? They don't scare me. I happen to love them."

"And they make you feel safe?"

"Not only. I think you're a good candidate too."

"You think I'm safe to be with?"

She's more trustworthy than I thought of myself. I must be good at being whomever I appear to be.

"Yes, you are. Now we can go inside before it rains again?"

"Oh, you're not scared are you?" I felt this urge to chuckle in my stomach at the thought of her being frightened.

"Very funny," she smirks.

---

I quickly reach into my pocket for the keys separate from my motel keys. After fiddling through them I find the key and turn the key into the lock. Before I turned the knob and opened the door Marah had her eyes closed shut.

"Alright you can open your eyes now, Marah."

"Huh? Oh I guess I didn't know what to expect when you opened up the door finally,"

"I thought you weren't scared though,"

"You have to admit your house is pretty spooky," she finally admits, stepping inside.
