"Darien, let's go! We're going to lose our reservation if we don't leave right now!" I looked down at his watch: 6:30, the reservation was in an hour and we had at least 30 minutes of traffic.

"I'm comin', I'm comin' don't get your panties all in a wad!" she said as she tried to fasten her earring in and slip on her heels at the same time in that all too familar southern accent.

"I just don't want to be late. We're supposed to be meeting them there and the reservation is in our name so we have to get there before them,"

"Ben dear, do you honestly think Elizabeth will let our reservation be given away? You know how she is about her food. We've planned this dinner for months and we're not delaying it again."

I nodded in agreement; the last time the four of us were supposed to go out together Tom had a last minute interview and the time before I had a photoshoot that I had completely forgot about. I grabbed my wallet and fumbled with the tie before my 5'3 (5'6 with her heels) bundle of southern spunk rounded the corner. "Alright, I'm ready let's go." I looked down at my tie that was just a tad bit crooked and started to pull and tug in fifty different directions. "Here let me do it." As always, she came in at just the right time to stop me from doing something rash. I had always been impatient, even as a little boy. She took the tie in her hands and gently united and tied it again with as much grace and ease as tying a tie can have. She released her grip and then patted my chest, "There. All done. Now was that so hard?" I chuckled, her sassiness was one of things I loved about her.

"Yes, now can we please leave?"

"Yes! I told you I was ready! Wait- where's my purse?"

"You won't need it come on. I'm paying for everything anyway."

"But my good lipstick is in there!'"

"You won't need it!" I said as I walked out the door and started to head down the stairs. I heard the tap of heels racing after me and couldn't help but grin.

"Why not?" I turned around and gave her a look that told her everything she needed to know. "Oh, I see how it is." I laughed and kept going with her not far behind.

                                                                          Darien POV

Why did he always have to be this damn sexy? With his suit and tie and just his overall face... How did I even end up here? Where was my good lipstick? Oh, that's right he said I wouldn't need it... I giggled but stopped as the cold England air hit me and took away my breath slighty. I'd been hear for over 2 years, but I still wasn't quite used to the weather. Like a true gentleman he had waited for me. My heels only allowed me to move at a quarter mile an hour, but there he stood on the London street his arm outstrectched for me to take. And like a true lady, I did. He got us a cab and helped me inside, making sure my dress didn't get caught in the door. I pulled out my mirror/phone/ wallet combo and quickly checked my hair. It was already falling flat. I hated my hair, the only time it  stays curled is when Elizabeth does it with her straightener that gets so hot, my hair smokes. But hey, what's the price for beauty?

"You look fine love, I really wish you'd put that bloody mirror away," He nuzzled his face into my neck and kissed my ear. Holy shit, I'd never get used to this; I try but it never works. My stomach fluttered with anticipation (yes, it fluttered sounds teenagerish but it's not!) because I knew what was coming. He kissed me, slow at first and very soft and then again, but this time with a little more intensity. Don't make a weird sound Darien. Don't you do it. I swear to God, Darien if any noise that comes out of mouth doesn't sound human so help me...but I didn't have to worry because it was him that made the tiniest of noises, but was enough to drive me up the friggin wall. I had a quick thought about the cabbie and what he must think to see to people makin out in his cab. "Benedict, the cabbie..." He kissed me again and said something along the lines of 'put the barrier up'. Well if that's the case carry on then. All too soon it was over (it wasn't soon, we were in the cab for 35 minutes), but it felt like it was soon. He grabbed my hand and helped me out, again, making sure my dress didn't get caught. He looped his hand through mine and we started towards the restaurant. Ben held the door for me and smiled, "I hope you're hungry." I was hungry alright, but I don't think it was for food. (Alrighty 45% was for food because I was a little hungry, but the other 55% was a different hunger altogether.)
