'Thoughts'

"Ie-kun, Tsu-kun dinners ready!" Nana called.

Sawada Nana is the proud mother of two kids. She has short brown hair and eyes. Her eldest, Tsunayoshi, took after her. He has brown, gravity-defying hair and brow eyes while her second son, Ienari, has her husband's short, spiky blonde hair and blue eyes.

Her husband is Sawada Iemitsu. He was away often and rarely ever visited because if his job overseas. He told her that he was a construction worker but in actuality he is the external advisor for the ninth boss of the Vongola, the strongest mafia family in the world.

Two kids came down the stairs, one running the other walking. Both went to the dining table and sat down.

"Ie-kun could you please help me set the table?" Nana asked, smiling.

"Ugh fine." Ienari replied, almost whining.

Nana's smile faltered at the obvious distaste in her youngest's voice, but came back full force.

"Thank you Ie-kun!" She thanked, her voice airy and expressing none of the hurt she felt inside.

They both went inside the kitchen and set the table together. After they finished they all sat down and ate their dinner in silence.

While eating Ienari was glaring heatedly at Tsuna. Nana, who noticed this, frowned. Her younger son seemed to hate his brother, though she didn't know why.

After they finished dinner Tsuna went straight to his room, while Ienari plopped himself on the couch and turned on the T.V.

"That guy's no help. We should just abandon him on the streets where he belongs." Ienari complained, talking about abandning his brother as if it meant nothing to him.

"Ie-kun you shouldn't say that about Tsu-kun! He is your brother and you will treat him as such!" Nana scolded sharply, furious that Ienari talked about doing that to his brother.

"But mom!" He whined "He's lifeless!"

That was true. A few years ago after a certain incident Tsunayoshi suddenly got much smarter and stronger, being able to get A's in everything and defend himself against his bullies but he also stopped talking and his eyes and face expressed no emotions whatsoever. Because of this people started calling him lifeless or soulless instead of dame.

"He may act like that but he is still a part of this family and I haven't once thought about abandoning him!" Nana exclaimed, showing that she still loves Tsuna even with the way he acts.

"Then you should." Ienari insisted "He's soulless, he doesn't help us doing anything and he's giving us a bad reputation! We have no use for him. It would be better for the both of us if he was gone!" He yelled, still trying to convice his mother to abandon Tsuna even though it was obvious that she wouldn't budge.

"We have no use for him?" Nana repeated slowly. Ienari started nodding excitedly, thinking that she was finally going to agree to abandoning Tsuna. If you asked anyone else though they would all agree that this was just the calm before the storm.

"Sawada Ienari!" Nana shouted. He gulped. His mom only shouted when she was furious and when she was this angry it wasn't pretty. "What do you mean 'have no use for'?! Your brother is not an object! Go to your room young man and think about how you should really treat your brother!" She continued, still shouting.

Ienari nodded quickly and ran up to his room, afraid to think about what his mother would have done to him if he didn't listen.

Once he was in his room Nana slumped down in a chair and sighed.
