I had never thought my job was particulary dull, however, over the last fourty eight hours it had been uneventful. I went from patient to patient, checking their vitals, drawing blood, making notes, talking to them briefly...but my mind was elsewhere.

“Owe!” my current patient jerked.

“My apologize, Mrs. Hersche,” I blinked realizing I'd been less than gentle with my needle. “Your vein is increadibly elusive today.”

“My thoughts tell me you're distracted, Dr. Galway.” The old woman sitting in front of me looked up with her watery blue eyes. “Have a special someone on your mind?”

“A what? Oh, no, no I don't have anyone.” I blushed. “Nothing like that... an... old patient...”

“Ah... Miss Elisabeth?” She said softly.

“I... what?” I looked at her.

“Miss Elisabeth Phoenix...” she rubbed her needle mark after I withdrew my instrument. “Bewitching girl...”

“What do you know of her?”

“More than you, and enough to keep my mouth shut.”

“Of course.” I put the blooddraw on a tray to take down. “You just want to say enough to bother me.”

“Did they tell you about her nightmares?”

“No, they've told me nothing of her.”

“They've tried sending her away before.” she said glancing around. “But she always get sent back screaming like a lunitic. Haveyou seen her arms?”

“I most certainly have not.”

“Scars...running from shoulder to finger tip... and across her chest.”

“Was she abused?”

“some say she did it to herself... others aren't so sure considering theones that run down her back are very similar... and she's got needle marks all over her arms...”

“Why are you telling me this?” I said putting my tools away.

“Weren't no charity case that let her stay here this long.” She said pulling her sleave down. “That girl has full funding from her 'guardian' you could say. So there weren't no financial issue causing her to be sent away, no, Dr. Galway... that girl has every right to be here...mark my words... either that girl comes back... or she be dead.”

“Dr. Galway, Mr. Regins would like to have a word with you.”

“Of course, Dr. Grindwald.” I jumped a little at the voice from the door behind me. “Right away.”

“Leave the blood tests, I'll finish here for you.” The gaunt looking man said as I reached for the tray.

“Alright, good day, Mrs. Hersche.” I closed my bag and headed back to the administration wing.

“Sit down.” Regins said as I entered his office.

I slid into position as if I were in the office of a headmaster in school.

“You're most likely wondering why I've summoned you.”

“The thought did pass my mind.” I said softly.

“There have been a few insidents with the girl...”

“Girl?”

“From the top floor... the one that you released the other day.”

“Oh... Elisab--”

“Yes, that girl.” he cut me off. “I need you to go over to the Honekettle House and observe her, just for one night. I want blood draws and I want a full report on her health.”
