The next day you drove to his manor. It was just a big as you'd remembered it being. When you parked the car, you took a second to drink in the familiar surroundings. You then smiled and walked up to the front doors. When you rang the doorbell, you were able to hear it echo through the mansion.
The door opened to reveal Oliver's mother. "Oh, (y/n)! It's been awhile hasn't it?"
"Yes, Mrs. Queen. Is Oliver here?"
"Please, call me Moira. Sorry you just missed him."
"Okay, could you have him call me when he gets home? Here's my cell." You handed her a scrap of paper on which you had quickly scribbled your number.
"Sure. Bye (y/n), it was great to see you again." She closed the door and you got back into your car.
Maybe he's at the club.
When you got to the club you got inside easily and called for Oliver. His name bounded off the walls but no reply came.
You tried opening the door leading downstairs and found that he'd changed the lock. There was still no response when you called for him again so you decided to go home.
~oOo~
Oliver didn't call you that day, or the day after. In fact it was a week before you heard from him again.
You'd just gotten home from work and found that your lights didn't work when you flipped the switch. "Hello (y/n)" a deep voice said out of the darkness.
"Oliver?" he came out of the shadows, dressed as the vigilante. "Where have you been? Your mothers been worried about you."
Instead of answering your questions he grabbed your collar and slammed you against the wall. "What did you tell them?"
"What are you talking about?" your feet were barely touching the ground and you were struggling to get out of his grasp, but it was no use.
"You know what I'm talking about. You're the only one who could've known about me having the list. You were looking at it when you were in the basement. I thought I could trust you."
"You realized that you'd been caught and broke down. "I'm sorry Oliver. He hired me to find out. I swear I only told him about the list not about you being the vigilante."
"Who hired you?" His grip was still tight, holding you against the wall.
"I don't know. I got a note to meet someone at a hotel but it was too dark to see. Please Oliver, put me down."
He let go and took a step back. "Why would you do such a thing, (y/n)?"
Tears started to stream down the sides of your face. "My mother was admitted to the hospital months ago. She wasn't getting better and the medicine that she needs is expensive. I needed the money for her. I'm so sorry, I never wanted to hurt you Oliver."
"If you would have asked me, I could have helped you. You didn't need to go behind my back. It's the only reason you came to see meat that club, wasn't it?" he crossed is arms and glared at you.
"No! It was only part of the reason. I missed you Oliver. I have had a crush on you since the day I met you. When we parents moved away I thought of you every day. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." Tears were still streaming down your face.
You waited for Oliver to hug you, or tell you it was alright but he didn't. Instead, he looked at you in disgust, betrayal and sadness. "Don't ever come near me again. I don't want to see you ever again."
He turned his back and walked towards the window. You started to run after him but tripped since the lights were still out. When you looked up, he was gone. "Oliver please, I'm sorry." You shouted after him. But he was already gone.
