CRASH.
Thunder was as loud as cannon boomed along the Scottish Highlands. Willis was staring out the rain stained window, his hands wrapped around each other, shaking.
Where was his mother? She said she would only be gone an hour. Had something happened to her? Had she been hurt?
Willis started to breath heavily, his mind breaking up into chunks of splattered memories.
He stared around his dank bedroom. He had always been scared of it. When he was a child, he was convinced that the cottage they were living in was haunted. It was his older brother that had told him that.
His older brother! Was he the one that might've hurt mum? Was he still on the loose?
Willis's older brother had become a fugitive, after being caught out for the murder of his best friend. Willis never knew why he had murdered him, but all he knew from his mother's words was that he was a dangerous villain, never to be spoken to.
Willis cringed at the thought and just kept his mind on the small country road. The hills that surrounded the cottage were beautiful in the sunshine and the summer, because of all the flowers and trees that blossomed there. It was almost as if t—
SCREECH!!!
A rusty red rover had pulled into the driveway. At first Willis thought it was his mother, until he saw who came out of the van.
Willis's heart pounded like an earthquake as he saw his murderous brother standing in front of the cottage, looking at it like he'd found heaven. Willis had to duck under the window as his brother looked his way. What was he doing here?
"I've found you Will!!" The horrific man screamed.
Just then a piercing sound as the front door was smashed open hit Willis like a bullet. His brother was going to kill him. And the worst part was that he was alone.
