I just wanted you guys to know, because I dont think I say it enough, you guys are amazing. I really appreciate everything you guys have done for me.
See you at the end!
Cory P.O.V.
"Uh Cory? What the hell were you talking about?" Shelby said making me flinch. It was never good when Shelby swore. It usually meant you had really done something bad.
"W-what are y-you talking about?" I nervously asked hoping they hadnt heard the whole story.
"Cory, we were here the whole time, dont try and bluff it!" There goes that idea.
"It wasn't real, what I said, it was all just a joke to see if the fans would believe me!"
That didnt seem to calm either of them down and Shelby just frowned even more.
"Then why did you act all nervous when we caught you? Plus you seemed really into telling the story."
I couldn't see any way out of the situation. They probably thought I was crazy for thinking it was all real.
"Cory," Max said with concern and worry in his eyes, "Do you believe in everything you just said?"
"O-of course I do." Was my answer as I looked at the ground.
"That's what I thought. Shelby, can I talk to you alone for a second?"
Shelby P.O.V.
Max pulled me to the side and started talking at an insane pace and I was instantly lost.
"Slow down Max! I can barely understand you. Just start over again, from the top."
Max took a breath and calmed himself down.
"Ok. Cory. Is. Crazy. There's no way any of this happened! There's no such thing as monsters, the Underground, even Frisk! They were never real! Now he's saying they are and expects us to believe it!"
I have to admit, he did sound crazy, but I knew Cory wasn't crazy. He had never acted this way before. Which is why I liked him so much, because he was amazing. He always helped me out when everyone was putting me down (Max and Ross).
"I know it sounds crazy, but Max, we both know he isnt crazy."
Max nodded his head and sighed.
"I know, but that story can't be true. Even if it is I'm going to tell Ross and Tim. They deserve to know."
Max was about to go but I pulled onto his arm and pulled him back.
"I don't think that's a good idea. There's a reason he never told us. He doesnt want people to know about it. So, maybe we should keep it between us. I mean, we should still respect what he wants."
Max frowned.
"You're right. As much as I don't like it, you're right. Cory's still a great guy and-"
"I know I am!" Cory yelled from inside the office making me giggle. "By the way, talk a little quieter! I could hear everything you guys were saying!"
Me and Max stared at eachother and instantly I saw a smile creep onto his lips.
"So maybe he's not crazy."
Cory P.O.V.
I think they know that I know that I'm not crazy, I think.
When I confronted them outside my office Max had a concerned look on his face still, but Shelby had on a pretty smile.
"Do you guys still think I'm crazy?"
"Na, you're too you to be crazy." Max said patting me on the back. "And dont worry. You secret is safe with us
""Thank you!" I said letting out a sigh. If anyone else had heard what I'd said....
"Just one question, Cory." Frisk started.
"Ask away."
"Is this why the roleplay is so good? Because it's happened to you?" (I love complimenting myself.)
"Yes Shelby, that's why."
She nodded accepting my answer and stood quietly as Max left us alone.
It was pretty awkward considering what I'd just done so I just stood there tapping my foot on the ground.
"Cory?" She spoke almost in a whisper.
"Yes?"
"I just..." She trailed off and completly avoided my eyes. "I just wanna say I believe you."
My eyes widened and I almost jumped in joy. Someone didnt think I was crazy!
"And I just wanted you to know," Shelby was definatly a lot closer to me then she had been a second ago. "That if you ever need to vent, I'm right here for you."
She reached up and kissed me on the lips sending a shock wave through my body and my soul. We held the kiss for a while until we finally had to breath again.
"So, what does this make us?" I asked panting a little.
"I dont know, maybe a couple? I dont think we should tell anyone though. Especially with the pranks Adam is going to pull on you."
I had forgotten all about that! What would he do if he knew we were a thing? Probably tell the world and laugh at our embarrassment. (Sounds about right.)
Shelby reached her hand out for me and I gingerly took it in my hand. Something about the gesture made me incredibly sad, but I couldn't let Shelby see it. I had to stay strong. Stay determined.
We walked into the hallway hand in hand, small smiles on both of our faces. Maybe tomorrow wont be so bad.
????????????????????? P.O.V.
I held the green, tattered material in my hands and gripped it with an intensity that made everyone in the room nervous. They knew what was about to happen and knew how much this meant for me.
Ever since that day my life changed for the worse. Or at least that's what my innocent mind at the time thought. Now that I think of it, I believe it was for the better.
The old me never would've seeked revenge, but this me. This me couldn't resist it.
"It's almost broken!" Someone yelled for all to hear.
I couldn't help but smile at the thought. Revenge.
He had promised that he would never leave, never forget, never let go. He had promised we'd get married in a cave. He had repeatedly said he'd never change a thing, even when he was dying. He always kept his promises. Except that one.
Even though I had no proof I knew he was up there trying to forget the past and trying to forget me.
"Just a little more!" The same someone yelled.
I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and I expected Alphys to answer but instead I saw the message was written in hands.
I could only make out one word of the text. In big, red letters, was the word Cory with a picture of a broken soul next to it.
"The barrier is broken!" The monster yelled and there was a rush of monsters as they all scrambled to be the first out of their prison.
Cory...
The plot thickens! I bet you can also guess who that was in the final segment of the chapter.
Also, the Undertale role in the book is coming up real soon so be patient.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter and from the bottom, the top, and the middle of my heart, I hope you have a great day!
