Thomas woke up feeling perfectly normal. He had slept nearly all day because of his lack of sleep during the night.
He wondered if he just imagined everything that happened.

He was exhausted.
It would make sense.

He tried not to think about it.

He got dressed in some black jeans and a t-shirt, and headed into the living room.

He turned to look back at his bedroom door and what he saw was not what he would've expected.

Ashtyn.

He squinted.
She smiled.
He stopped squinting and took a step closer to her.
And she to him.

"Thomas" she whispered.

"A-Ashtyn?" He stuttered.

She took a few more steps towards him.

And he lost it.

Tears.
His eyes flooded with tears.
He was shaking.

"How?" He asked.
He didn't specify what how was.
But she knew.

"I don't know.." She spoke in a soft tone.

Though she did.

She was a foot away from him now.
He closed his eyes.

Hot Tears streaking  his pale cheeks.

He felt her hand connect with his shoulder and he winced.

She was touching him. And she was dead.

She was dead.
She was dead.
She was dead.

"It's really you?" He asked.

She gripped his shoulder reassuringly.

"Sure" she said.
"Sure?" He asked.
"Sure" she confirmed.

He felt sick.

"Thomas it's okay. You're okay" she told him, her voice quiet.

He shook his head slightly.

"Thomas... We need to talk." She states.

He nodded.
They did need to talk.
She needed to explain everything.
And she would.
