Loud cheers. Bright lights. All that I sense, other than that, is Hendrix's hand reassuringly in mine as we step over into the world on the other side of the door. I'm going slowly as I lead them on and in minutes the lights and cheers fad and all I see around me are doors. "Al... Alex... Alexandra Marie?", Hendrix shakes my shoulder and I come out of my trance. "You alright?", he says taking my hand. "Yeah...," I start and then yell to everyone else, "Alright, we have some guidance here, I want everyone to spread out and find a red door with the number 1218 written on it. That's our first door." I say remembering what I read in the book.

I start to run up the left side of the hallway past green doors, blue doors, yellow doors, orange doors, but not a single red one. So, I took a left at a new hallway I saw and there were all the red doors. Each with a different number, and in a different place. Some were sideways, upside down, and many different orientations. "Guys, I think I found something!"

Once we had gotten everyone together and gotten back to what we were now calling the "Red Room". "Alright, spread out in pairs and then report back to me. Hendrix and I will take the far end. Tori and Alex take the other end. Caroline and Alison, Sam and Kristina, and Seth and Charly spread out in the middle. Got it?" I yelled. They all jogged off in pairs as Hendrix and I started our search.

We had now split up and Hendrix was at the other end of our section. That's when I see it, a rusting, broken, paint chipped, red door. And it had 1218 on a dull gold placard at about eye level. "Hendrix, we've got!" I yell down the hall at him. "Got it, stay there. I'll find the team." He yells back.

"Now, I don't know what to expect. It may be another dimension, it may be more doors, but either way whatever is behind the door we best be ready." I yell as everyone follows me to the red door. Hendrix had tried to tell them where I had gone but no one understood his directions. So, now I've met them in the middle and I'm leading them to the door. "This is it..." I said out of breath from the run, "Someone open it." I waited for someone to step up. I stood there for a moment and stared at my team. They all look back and simultaneously replied many, "You do it"'s and "Do the honors" back at me. I sigh and reach for the door knob. I slowly turn it and pull the door open, not knowing what to expect. "Are you fucking kidding me? Stairs?" I said with disappointment and happiness at the same time. We all just started laughing hysterically at the sight.

"Alright I'm going to go check what they lead to." I said with a laugh. They all agree by nods as I walk through the door. As I get higher and higher up these stairs their quiet voices shift to an eerie silence. I keep running up these stairs and I finally get to the top. And here I find another two doors. So, I open the one on the right, and a wave of heat hits me. So, I slam the door and go to the one on the left. I know that whatever may be behind this one will be much better then the last. I open it to see a rain forest and a hellish looking creature standing in front of me.
