Chapter Fourteen

"Alright we're out! Vita please take lead!" I yell over the sound of traffic and sirens. Vita gets in front of the pack and we run until the sirens fade and we're back in the forest. "We are by the second door, no one's ever gone through it, and I can't go with you. I can guide you and I can still communicate with you, and maybe him too, now we need to get you out of here." She says and turns back around to run again. 'Vita, what're you talking about him? Who's him?', I ask. 'He's the evil to your good. He's resisting my communication. So, until further notice, just be careful. He doesn't know who you are. Be safe Al.', she answered. We were finally standing in front of the door, and I do not want to go. I want to stay in this beautiful place and discontinue my journey. I do not want to cause any more danger or harm! I want to go back to being Alexandra Dover, the beautiful daughter of CEO Aaron Dover and Director Amelia Dover! I want to go to weapons training with Ms. Crane! I want off this fucking roller coaster! "Al? Are we going?" I hear from behind me. "Yes, I'm sorry I was just thinking...," I mumble. Vita hugs me and just looks at me sympathetically as we walk through the door. It's a dark cave-like atmosphere with large crystals embedded in the walls and a large lake, of what seems to be water, spread vastly in front of us. 'They live underwater, so you need to find a way down. That's all the archive.', Vita tells me. 'Thank you, darling.' I respond. 'Good luck.' she says and then I'm left alone again. We start to make our way around to the far side of the underground lake to a cliff. "They live underwater. I know that they took our weapons, but they left our bags....did anyone bring a snorkel?" I ask sarcastically, but everyone shakes their heads no. "Well we'll just have to hold our breath." I say as I take off my jacket. "Please tell me you brought a swimsuit." Hendrix says to no one in particular. We all just look blankly back at him knowing that not bringing one was a stupid decision. "Fine...Guys, go explore that cave we saw awhile back, while we....change. Come back in about 10 minutes, we'll be in the water by then." I say reluctantly. As they walked off Hendrix gave a single look back and then ushered the rest of them into the cave. "Alright girls...I hate to say this but...take of everything but undergarments. We'll be weighed down any other way. I'm sorry....," I say.

"Girls? We're ready...." I hear from behind me. I turn around to a large splashing sound. There were the boys, in the black water in front of me. I just sighed in irritation, as the boys laughed. "Not funny boys," I say and then I dive under the water. Instead of dark depths and the pressure of the water, it's crystal clear and feels like I'm floating on air, compared to the water above. It's as though we were above ground. Next thing I know, I run into something or someone. I turn around and there's Hendrix. He's trying to tell me something, but I can't understand. So he takes my hand and starts to swim down towards what looks like a giant bubble. As we get deeper, I see the rest of the team swimming in pairs around us. We finally got to the bottom and I was starting to get light headed. Then I saw a bright light and felt a pull towards where the bubble once was.

"More humans, hmmm? Are they good people?" Someone says as the white light fades. "We mean you no harm." I say as I gain my sight. Standing in front of me is what looks like giant lizard like people. "And why should we trust you?" The one standing to the left, with a reddish hue said. "Because I'm a Dover, and I keep my word," I respond. "So you're a noble? And which Dover might you be?" the one to my right, with a purple hue says. "Alexandra, but I prefer Al...I doubt you've heard of me." I say with embarrassment. "NO, we know you, young one, welcome to Surga Bawah Laut. We're here to help you on your quest as needed." Then it says to another behind them, "Take her and the others to the Royal Palace, and give them the best we have." "Yes, sir. Come, m'lady, right this way!" says a yellow hued reptilian who hurries me out of the room. "May I ask where my friends are?" I ask as we basically run down the hallway. "They were in a holding cell, as we kept you under the charm for longer. They will meet you at the Royal Palace, where we are going." he rambles on. "May I ask your name?" I say as he starts to 'walk' even faster. "I am Hari, I will be your servant while you are in our dimension." his rambling continued. I just continue to follow him because he seems to be in such a hurry at the moment.

"Welcome to Benteng Laut m'lady," Hary says as we finally slow down. "The castle staff will take care of you from now until morning. Now, I take my leave m'lady," he says and then walks off. "Thank you, Hari!" I call after him. A creature with a blue hue rushes me into the large castle in front of me. It's a whirlwind of people and places. Eventually they fit me with a crown and robes and lead me to my room so I can finally rest, and I do.

"Wake up m'lady! Your friends are here to see you!" Hari says as he shakes me awake. I sit up to the bright morning light shining through freshly opened curtains. Hari helps me out of bed, then rushes me to the bathroom as he gets me a new robe and another, unnecessary, crown. "Now you're ready." he says, finally satisfied with how I look. He then guides me out the door and into a large common room. Then he rushes away saying something about my friends.

After about twenty minutes of waiting, Hari rushes in with Hendrix in tow. "Al!" he says as I run to hug him. "You had me worried to death!" he continues as he kisses my forehead. "They kept me under some type of charm when they had you detained. Oh hell, I missed you!" I say as he laughs. Then Hari returns with Tori, Seth, and Charly. "Al!" they scream as they see us and run to hug me. "You didn't miss me?" Hendrix jokes as they pull him into the hug. "Did you forget about us too?" Alex says as Hari escorts the rest of the group into the room. "Of course not!" Tori laughs as they hug. We all continue to hug and talk about what's going on. Then Alex asks: "Okay, what's with the crown and the luxury robes? No offense Al, but you look like you think you're above us," I don't exactly know why I am a "royal" in other realms. All I know is that I can use my name to save my life. "I don't know. They call me m'lady and say they know who I am. I don't understand it either." I say as the room goes silent. Hari walks back in uncomfortably as we all turn to face him. "The king would like to see all of you," he said impatiently. Hendrix puts and arm around me and we follow slowly behind Hari. He leads us to the large doors of what seems to be a throne room. "You may come in!" A loud voice says as Hari is about to knock. The door opens and we walk slowly into the room. The lizard-like creature with a reddish hue, from when I was interrogated, is sitting on a large throne. Others, who seem to be guards, are stationed all around the lavish room. "Alexandra, just on time." the 'king' says. "Good morning, your highness," we says as we all bow. "Please, skip the formalities. It is I who should be bowing to you," he says as he steps down from the throne. "That won't be necessary," I say as he comes closer. "Oh, but it is your highness," he says as he takes my hand and kisses my ring, which his people gave me, in respect. Then he says to his guards: "Bow to your new leaders!" I just stood there in shock, not knowing how to react to such treatment. "Please, sir, it is severely unnecessary. Her highness does not wish for such forced treatment, with no meaning of offence to you, of course," Hendrix chimes in for me. "Of course, but please, your majesty, will you at least accept a seat by the throne?" the king continues. "Of course, sir," I say as he takes my hand again. He leads me to the throne as his servants bring an ornate chair for me to sit at his right hand. I looked back at my team worriedly. "Oh, and please some chairs for the queen's friends as well." The king says once we're sat down. Everyone got chairs, then the king started to speak: "Your highness, we welcome you and your company with the best we can offer. I was hoping to make a treaty with you, or some kind of deal, as to lineage of my, and your, thrones. I would like it if you would arrange for one of your children to be promised to one of mine, if you make it on the journey."
