"So... where is this Gathering, exactly?" I questioned, pacing next to Shadowpaw. Bloodstar had sent us both on a mission to spy on the Clan Gathering and to report back to her. I was worried that we would get caught, or if Shadowpaw got hurt. I know she is my apprentice, but I can't help but admire her. She turned to me, her bright green gaze clouded with thought. "Just follow me and you will be fine". I rolled my eyes and followed after her, ducking beneath the sharp branches. "If you're with me it should mask your scent with Streamclans, so we won't get caught. I know a safe place to watch". Her voice sounded re-assuring, and I nodded. We were currently on Fireclan border, crossing through to Four Trees. "Stop" growled Shadowpaw, flattening her ears. She crouched and perked herself behind the hill infront of us. Scents of other cats drifted towards me, and I ducked next to Shadowpaw. "We're here. Make no sound, and if a cat looks this way, duck down". The sight was amazing. Many cats, all from different clans, sitting together. It was what I wanted.
A ginger she-cat yowled, signally the meeting. "Who would like to speak first? Skystar?" she mewed, her green eyes flickering over to a tabby. The tabby, who I guessed was Skystar, nodded. "Today... I have many important things to say, for all of us" she mewed, her eyes filling with sadness. "A black she-cat, Shadowpaw, was banished from our clan. She killed our beloved young apprentice, Wolfpaw". Shadowpaw snorted beside me, rolling her eyes. "And.. a group of rogues recently attacked our camp. We retreated. Shadowpaw was among that group". The cats of all clans hissed, yowling in disbelief. "Then a few days ago.. we discovered the dead body of Streamclans medicine cat apprentice, Cloudypaw. I also believe Shadowpaw killed this cat" mewed Skystar, her fur bristling with anger. "If she is seen on anyones terriritory, do not kill her. Bring her to Streamclan, so I can have my revenge". The other cats nodded in agreement. I looked over to Shadowpaw, who's eyes were blazed with fear.
"I also have something about Shadowpaw" mewed the ginger she, dipping her head. "As you have noticed, Fireclan leader is not here today. As the deputy, I have recieved nine lives.. we found his dead body on our territory in a badger set. Shadowpaw's scent was easily recognisable all over his body". The cats hissed, spitting furiously. Shadowpaw was a very rebellious, evil cat... I like it. A dark-grey tabby tom stepped forward, his fur bristling. "Leafclan has been spying and found out about this group of rogues you speak of. We can always plan an attack on them". Skystar shook her head, so did a red tom. But the ginger she nodded in agreement. "Streamclan won't be helping you. They are far too strong for my clan, and I can't afford to lose anymore warriors" mewed Skystar, dipping her head. The red tom nodded in agreement. "You don't get Darkclans help either."
"Then Leafclan and Fireclan will attack this clan. I will discuss further with Greystar, and we shall plan the attack. Gathering is over" mewed the ginger she. I turned to Shadowpaw, who had a worried look in her eyes. "We have to go. Right now" she growled, already dashing off back to camp without me. I sprinted after her, panic-struck. Two clans were going to attack Sandclan! I had to warn Bloodstar immediately so that we were ready. We have plenty of warriors and few apprentices, but against two whole clans would be difficult. Starclan, please save us.
