Your POV
You rubbed your face in frustration, trying to rid your forehead of the frown lines. Niamh, your teenage daughter was glaring at you. You sighed and walked towards her carefully.
"Niamh listen it's not that I don't want you to go, I ju-"
"Of course you don't want me to go! You've always wrapped me in cotton wool, stoping me from actually living my life and having more fun than you." Her words hurt you and you let out a shaky breath. She was too angry to register how much her words stung.Trying not to cry, you pushed past her and rushed up the stairs into your bedroom. You didn't understand how Niamh could be so horrid. The front door opened downstairs and you could hear your daughter running over to Greg, no doubt about to ask him if she could go out and tonight. The sound of cheering told you that he'd obviously agreed.
You lay on the bed, your tears wetting the thick fabric. Greg's footsteps brought me out of my thoughts and he knocked on the door.
"Are you okay Y/N? Niamh said you were a bit moody today." You had stop yourself from yelling out at him that you'd both raised some kind of Demon as a daughter. Instead, you kept your mouth shut and stayed quiet, hoping he'd go away.A few minutes later you heard his shoes on the stairs, signalling that he'd gone back down. Slowly, you let out a breath that you didn't know you'd been holding. Niamh hadn't always been this rebellious. Other parents had told you both that it was a stage that all teenagers went through at some point in their life but it still hurt.
"Y/N! Dinner's ready!" You lifted your aching limbs from the comfortable bed and walked into the bathroom, making sure you didn't look too rough. Greg welcomed you into the room with a small kiss. You smiled at him warmly and sat down at the table.
Niamh looked across at you and chose that moment to ask about her lift to the party. You scowled and opened your mouth to speak.
"I said you weren't going this time." Greg glanced at you out of the corner of his eye and raised his eyebrows. Niamh on the other hand slammed her hands down on the table.
"Dad said I could, so I am." You shook your head bravely.
"No, last time you came home and hour and a half late. Plus you need to make a start on your school project." Niamh stood up, her whole body trembling. She grabbed her drink and threw it at you before leaving the table and rushing out of the room. Greg ran after her but you heard the door slam and his cursing. The pressures that you'd been faced with recently suddenly built up and burst into tears, your shoulders shaking violently. Greg came back into the room and held you tightly.
"Don't worry Y/N, it'll be okay, we'll find her."A/N ayup cumberbeans, I hope you enjoyed that. I'm probably gonna make another part for it so keep your eye out. I am once again sorry that this is so late, but I had revision and other stuff to do. Anyways, thanks for ready and I'll see ya soon. Baiiiii-L
