phil had tried his best to avoid dan if possible, meaning, if he knew dan was going to be on the set of something, he wouldn't attend. or ask for a dressing room rather far away from dan.
maybe phil didn't want to be charmed by the devil that was daniel james howell, or maybe he just didn't want to put up with his attitude. either way, phil lester wanted nothing to do with dan.
however, phil put all of this aside when he got an email from a rather large company about filming a movie which just happened to be the movie version of one of his favorite books.
dan sat in a tall director's chair while a makeup artist gently touched up his face. luckily, (for dan and the makeup artist) he had very few imperfections, making his makeup quick and rather easy to do. nevertheless, dan found something to complain about to his artist. "you're making it look so streaky! ah, you need to be fired." he announced and looked down at his phone. phil glanced at dan and glared, they must have been like, fifteen minutes into the first day on set and dan was already complaining about something? he took this annoyance and shoved it to the back of his head. it was probably best not to ruin his acting reputation of being kind, humorous and gentle. but somehow, phil knew that working with dan was definitely not going to be easy.
