phil sat in his dressing room, sipping some coffee, chatting with his friend louise through his phone and waiting to be called onto the set.
"have you met howell yet?" she asked.
"mhm. he's really hot," he started and glanced around his room nervously as if someone was listening to him. "but he seems like a real douche. he went off on one of our makeup people for no reason, really. hopefully he isn't li-"
there was a knock on phil's door. "lester! five minutes!"
"sorry louise, i gotta get dressed and stuff. i'll text you later, 'kay?"
"bye, philly! good luck with dan!" she exclaimed then hung up.
"i am really gonna need that luck." he mumbled to himself before setting his phone down, hiding it under the jumper he took off earlier.

about halfway into one of their first scenes, dan had stubbed his toe on some prop, sending him into a hissy fit. an intern ran and got dan an ice pack to try to help the frustrated man calm down.
phil just watched, feeling slightly annoyed but also intrigued. working with dan was going to be wild, it was going to take a lot of emotional strength, probably more so than physical.
"lester! don't just watch, help me!" dan hissed at phil, snapping him out of his thoughts.
i'm gonna have so much to tell louise tonight, he concluded to himself.
