I'm sorry for making the last chapter so short. This one is quite a bit longer, it's more of a filler but it has some info that you'd need for the rest of it to make sense.

I walked over to Josh with a smile on my face. I give him what I hoped looked like a friendly hug.  “Hey babe. I heard about what happened with your parents. I just wanted to let you know that you can drop Isabella off over my house any time. I would be happy to watch her, my mom too you know. She loves Izzy. She claims it reminds her of when I was sweet and innocent. I doubt there was ever a time like that.” He says the last sentence with a smile. I love his little lopsided grin; it’s really adorable and makes him look almost innocent. Almost, but not quite.

We look over at are boss after he calls our names. He beckons us over with his hand and tells us it’s time to start the warm-ups and the stretches. There was another girl that had been helping me with the girls at the clinic. We always had an even amount of girls at the clinic. It also had to be a number divisible by three so when we do drills we can have pairs or groups. We currently have 30 girls at the clinic. My assistant’s name is Aubrey. I haven’t talked to her much besides about what we’re going to show the girls every day. She seemed like a nice enough person, just quiet. I jog over to her, jogging because you can’t walk on a soccer field.

“Hey,” I said flashing her a friendly smile. “Have any suggestions on what to teach them today? I know we did the passing yesterday. Most of them got it, but some of them are completely lost on what to do.”

“Yeah I think that’s a pretty good idea. After about ten minutes of that, we could practice with some 2v2. That could keep them occupied for a while. If possible, I wanted to do a scrimmage against the guys today.”

“That’s a great idea. I never thought about that. When we do that, we should do a scrimmage with two games. One for the 15 that are going to be in the tournament tomorrow and one for everyone else. We should go talk to the guys about this because we just made a full plan without the guarantee that they’ll join the game.”

We gave the instructions to the girls that weren’t going to be in the tournament and got together the ones that would be in it. As a group we walked over to where the boys were practicing and running drills. I told them to wait and Aubrey and I jogged over to where Josh and his assistant Connor were standing. I called Josh’s name to let him know that I was beside him. He was too busy yelling at the boys at the top of his lungs while they ran up and down the field, to notice that I was right there.

“Josh, Josh, Josh, JOSH!” After I screamed his name at the top of my lungs, which by the way, is much louder than him screaming at the top of his lungs, he decided to turn around. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows as if to ask what I wanted and why I was disrupting his screaming session. Personally, I think that the poor guys on the field deserved a break from his big fat mouth.

“Oh, yeah. Since the tournament is tomorrow, Aubrey here just came up with the amazing idea to have a scrimmage between the girls and guys that were going to be in the tournament tomorrow. Everyone else can scrimmage amongst themselves.” He rocked his head from side to side as if thinking over the suggestion. I knew he had already decided he wanted to do it; he just wanted to toy with us. I saw the way his eyes flickered in recognition of a good plan when I first proposed it.

“What do you think Connor? Should we relieve the guys of this torture I call my practice drills and allow them to frolic around scrimmaging a bunch of girly little prisses?” He looked to Connor with a smirk on his face. Oh how I wished I could slap it off of him. Connor started smirking too and at that point I just got fed up with them. I already knew the answer was yes, so why not tell the boys that.
