Alec walked over to the dining table with Sophia still on his arms. He placed her down on one of the chairs and help her stabilized. She was still shocked at his revelation and hasn't been able to speak since then. Maria walks in, with a couple of other maids hurrying behind her.
"Good Morning miss...." she trailed off since she didn't know her name.
"Sophia." She clarified.
"Oh yes! Sophia such a beautiful name for a beautiful young lady like you," she smiled.
"Thank you," Sophia smiled politely as her cheeks turn a light pink. She doesn't usually hear people call her beautiful or treat her the way they've been doing. It was completely odd for her.
"Well for today's menu we got some pancakes with strawberry marmalade and some hot chocolate to top it off with," Maria says as the maids place the food on top of the table.
Alec takes a sit next to Sophia and smirks as he notices her starring at him. Sophia rolls her eyes and looks the other way.
"What? aren't you speaking to me princess?." He asks as a grin plays on his lips.
He felt the need to annoyed her because he liked the way she would react.
"I have nothing to say." She says dryly.
"Oh really? So no comment on my..hmnh.. how do I put this?...on my not so common social position." He looks at her. Inspecting her every moment trying to get a reaction from her.
"Social position?," she snorted. She believed the guy had mental problems or something.
"Yeah I mean it's not something everyone does but it's a decent job for some," He takes his fork and takes two pancakes and place them in his place. Maria walks over to him with the strawberry marmalade and pours some of it on top. He thanks her and she walks over to Sophia who was lost in thought, starring at the pancakes.
"Remind me again, why am I still here ?," she blurted out.
"Because I'm basically your hero and your clothe is still on the laundry machine, unless you want to walk naked around your neighborhood...is something optional."
"Right," She forced a smile and took a pancake out of the plate in front of her.
"Are you feeling any better honey?" Maria asks with concern on her tone of voice.
Sophia smiles and nods slowly. "My ankle still hurts but everything else is fine, thanks for taking care of me."
"Oh it's nothing, I was worried your fever wasn't going down." Maria says.
Sophia takes a bite of her pancakes and smiles at delicious taste of it. Her stomach was empty since Friday afternoon, since she doesn't like eating at the animal shelter because of the animal hair.
"You go to my school? Don't you?," Alec asks, curious as to where he has seen this girl.
"There's many schools. Be specific." She says.
"Gee, so much attitude." Alec chuckles. He cuts a piece of pancake gently and eats it. "Brownsville,"
"Yeah I do,"
"I had the feeling you did. I believe I've seen you around." He comments.
Sophia takes a sip of her chocolate and forces a smile. "I can't say the same about you though."
