My blood was boiling and I’m pretty sure some steam was fuming from my ears and nose. I wanted to slap Edward so hard and make his stupid smirk disappear. I walked over to Dom and we continued to walk to the smoothie shop.
A wave of relief washed over me finally as we walked into the fruity fresh smelling building. I just wanted a large coconut tropical bliss so I stood in line and ordered what I wanted. After I was done I sat down in a booth with Dom.
The air was quite awkward around us, but I didn’t want to be the first one to speak up so I sat silently waiting for him. After many minuets of waiting, I realized he want going to talk, and I was going to be the one to break the ice.
“I’m sorry” I tried to say, but it came out as more of a squeak.
He looked up from his very interesting pineapple drink and looked at me. “I know, me too.”
I was baffled, why was he sorry? I wasn’t beaten up at all!
“I feel like such a bad person, I know I shouldn’t have kissed you. But it felt so right, I couldn’t stop myself”
“I feel the same Dom, but it can’t happen” I say quickly.
“I know I have a girlfriend-“
“What!?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry I didn’t realise how wrong it was until it was done.”
“Well no I feel stupid.” I say.
“I know we can’t work out, and I’m okay with that. I do like you April, I just don’t know if I like you in a way that’s stronger than how I feel about her.”
I smile at him. He was generally such a sweet person. Yes, it was wrong of the both of us to kiss other people but he is so kind to be considering the consequences for his actions.
We part our ways and I head back home. My feelings are hurt but I try not to let that get in the way of me. I push my sadness away and push open the door to my house. My parents are indulged into their own conversation so I continue my way up the steps and collapse onto my bed. I hope tomorrow is better.
