Louis helped me over the railing and into the tree house. Inside there were 2 bean bag chairs and tons of candles lit all over the room.
"Louis! Its so beautiful!" i said.
"Not as beautiful as you." he replied pulling me onto his lap. I blushed and kissed him.
"So, how was your day?" Louis asked.
"i dont know, you tell me. I assume you are behind all of it." i smiled. "Thank you so much Louis. Nobody has every done anything so special for me."
He put me on the ground and stood up from the beanbag chair. I crawled back into the chair and he walked over to a shelf and picked up a guitar. He started to sing
" you and i. we dont wanna be like them we can make it till the end. nothing can come between you and i. Not even the gods above, can seperate the two of us. No nothing can come between you and i. ooh you and i. "
"That was a beautiful song Louis, thank you so much." i started to cry and he said," hold your tears cause there's more on the way." Louis wiped my face and put he guitar back. he picked up a small box and stood in front of me. Then he got down on one knee. i gasped.
"Mella, i love you with all of my heart and all of my soul. Im not going to let us grow apart. So i got you something." he opened the box and inside was a small ring. It was silver and in the center was a small heart shaped ruby. Not too flashy, just beautiful. He slipped it on my ring finger.
"Louis, I love you so much too, but im not ready to be engaged. im only 16, im just not.." Louis cut me off.
"Mella,this isnt an engagement ring. Its like a promise ring, but it shows that you are reserved for me. Only me. and maybe someday, when you are ready we can call that an engagement ring." he said.
Thats when the tears started coming. "Yes Louis. Yes i will maybe marry you!" i whispered.
He yelled," YAY!" and picked me up. He swung me around and kissed me. Thats when i heard cheering. Outside, everybody was waiting. They had gotton a fire going with logs and blankets laid around. Louis lowered me down on the swing, then climbed down the tree. We sat by the fire and talked and laughed and sang till 2:00 am. I realized that i have the perfect life. Ive got the most amazing "maybe fiance" and the most amazing friends ever. Life was not going to pass me by!
