Liam's Point of View

I'll never understand why it took so long for somebody  to  find  us,  and  when they didit was by accident. But I guess thFates work in mysterious ways even I can't understand.

And I don't think I ever will.

••••••••••••

I studied Percy, trying to remember where I've heard his name before. He couldn't be famous, he looked like any average teenager. Check celebrity. He couldn't be a family member. He was obviously American, and I'd never seen him before.

Then why did his name sound so familiar?

Suddenly, my eyes widened in recognition.  "You're that kid that blew up that school!"

He sighs and shakes his head, turning to the girl. "I swear, a guy blows up one school and he's famous."

She also rolls her eyes. "Yeah, but what else have you done? You had the trouble at Goode, then when the Canadians came-" She seemed to remember we were here, because she stopped. "Sorry." She said, a forced smile quickly appearing on her face. "Rambling."

Percy mutters something under his breath, causing Annabeth to glare at him. His eyes seemed to dart to her arm, almost as if he was scared of something in it.

Or in the sleeve.

Zayn clears his throat, drawing everyone's attention. "So, you blew up a school?"

He grinned at us, but it didn't seem quite as sincere at his others smiles. This one was more mischievous. "Yeah. So you better watch out, ink

Zayn looked pleased at the nickname, probably because of his love for for tattoos and ink. "Ink?"

"Yeah. You have a bunch of tattoos, and we don't really know you're name, so it's either that or blacas." We looked at him oddly, but Annabeth hit him.

"Percy." She hissed, obviously irritated.

He flashed her an innocent smile. "What?"

"Can somebody tell me why he just called my friend an idiot in Greek?" I spoke up, quickly becoming irritated by Annabeth and Percy's constant bickering.

Couple? They're more like brother and sister.

Annabeth looked at me, showing new kind of respect in her eyes. "You took Greek?"

Percy snickered, but quickly shut up when Annabeth hit him again.

Suddenly my eyebrows furrowed as I realized that I had just in fact translated an Ancient Greek word into English, when I'd never actually taken a Greek class in my life. It was weird. Almost like the meaning had just popped into my head when Percy said the word.

"Uh, no?" I sounded unsure. "I must've picked it up somewhere."

Annabeth shot Percy a look, to which he just rolled his eyes. "No."

"But he-"

"-Probably just picked it up somewhere, like he said. There's no possible way he had gone this long without getting attacked." He insisted.
