Chapter 7.

Cara's POV

I've have arrived in San Diego three hours ago. It's 18:00 and I'm tired as fuck. I checked in a hotel a block away from Kendall's house and it's making me anxious.

Knowing that she's so close to me really freaks me out. I want to see her so bad, but I can't now. I want to make it special- something that she doesn't expect.

I'll text her tomorrow morning, and just catch up with her. But I can't give away that I'm in San Diego. I'll see how it goes.

What am I gonna eat? Mc Donalds? Why not. Wait.. how about I just get a drink from Starbucks and go for a walk. Yea, let's do that.

I walk to the parking lot and enter my car. A few minutes later I arrive at Starbucks. "May I please get a caramel frappucino."

"Coming right up!" I walk to a table and sit. So, what's the plan Cara? I think you should surprise her by hugging her from behind or something. What no? That'll come later..

Then walk to her house and just surprise her there. Make her open the front door but indirectly. Not something that she'll expect you to stand there.

They're so boring though.. Na. Let's tease her a bit. I think I know what I'm gonna do.

"Cara! Your drink is ready." "Thank you very much."

Alright, time to take a stroll down the old road. I walk outside and turn left.
A cold breeze travels through my body.
It's starting to get cold.

The roads are busy but are quieting down. My drink is already half way done. And I'm freezing.

In the distance I see a bar with young adults walking in and out. But what catches my attention is a tall skinny brunette walking with another blonde chick into the bar.

My suspiciousness is growing fast. I want to know who she is, she's beautiful. No Cara, remember why you're here? You're here for Kendall, not some other girl who you'll go for. Yea but I just want a closer look at her.

No don't. I ignored my mind and walked to the bar. I didn't want her to see me at all, so I sneaked in carefully. She was sitting by the bar with her back facing me.

Can't she just turn around? I walk to the side of the bar but she turns her head the other way. Really?

"Hey beautiful, what are you doing here huh sweet thang?" A drunk man said to me. "Don't talk to me."

"Oh come on baby, give me a kiss." Oh no you didn't. "Don't you dare touch me."

He put his hand on my shoulder and tried to turn my towards him. "What's your name baby?"

I faced him only expecting what everyone would expect of me to do. Punch him.

I punched him across the face bruising my hand a bit. "You bitch!" He screamed. Right now, everyone's attention was on me, including that brunette.

It was dark, and I'm thankful for that. No one could really see who I was. I stood still and turned towards the brunette.

My heart stopped, my breathe hitched, my legs went numb and my head went crazy. It's Kendall staring me down looking absolutely confused.

I ran out as quickly as I could to my car. I jumped in and started the engine, speeding off to my hotel.

Oh fuck, did Kendall see me?

Kendall's POV

I want to go out. I need a drink. I need to call Gigi. *dials Gigi*

"Hey Gi, want to go out tonight?" "Yeah kid, I'll pick you up in ten!" "See you!"

Gigi picked me up and drove to a bar downtown. We enter the door and sit down by the bar.

I heard the door open shortly after but had I no intention on turning around. "What you want Ken?"

"Same as you please." "Make that two please." I heard some rustling going on outside so I turned to check it out.

Nothing. "Here Ken," "Thanks," I take the shot and shake my head. "Woah, that made me feel better."

"You bitch!" I heard a loud man scream. What the hell.. Everyone turned their heads to see what was going on.

Who's that girl? She looks awfully familiar. She stood up still and faced.. me? Well I think.. I can't see her face. It's too dark.

I wanted to go up to her and ask what happened but she bolted out of the room. "What just happened?"

"I have no idea Gi, but that sure was one tough girl."
