From Shadows

"Oh, no."  Kobayashi muttered, her eyes widening at the sight of the Black Lily assassins.  "Is that them?"  Ryuu asked from next to her, looking closely.  Her throat tightened up.  Could they really do this?  Could they really steal an entire shipment of weapons from the west?  Sensing her silence and discomfort, he turned toward her.  "You didn't think it was them, did you?"  He asked.  She swallowed, carefully picking her words.  "I think, deep inside, I knew it was really them.  I just didn't want to believe them."  She closed her eyes, resting her forehead on her folded hands in front of her.  "Hey!"  Kobayashi looked up, recognizing the voice.

We'll descend upon the World

"We're not exactly the most feared bunch of thieves, so why don't you second rate Assassins pick up the pace?"  Rusk asked, gesturing with his hands.  "No.  This isn't right.  The Black Lily would never work with the Blue Euphorbia."  She stood up, pulling out her Katana, much to Ryuu's shock.  "Hey, what are you-!"  He was too slow for Kobayashi, as seeing that she had jumped off the building and sprinted off into the shadows in between the Shipping Crates.  Ryuu let out a groan, burying his face in his hands.  "Why is it always the Westerners that this happens with?"  He asked, looking up at the sky.

Kobayashi crept through, eventually coming close behind Rusk.  It was a short sprinting distance..."No, no.  This isn't long enough."  He said, both hands behind his back.  His prized 'Cane Shotgun' was in his left hand.  Kobayashi sprinted forward, pressing the edge of her Katana to his throat.  "Hey, what the!"  He asked, stopping when he realized that Kobayashi was digging her katana into his throat with every word.  The assassins pulled out their weapons, circling Kobayashi and Rusk slowly.  "Nobody move!"  She yelled, slanting her katana at an angle.  "Woah!  Take it easy there, little girl."  He said, attempting to subdue the tension in the air.  There was a moment of silence before she reached for her choker scarf and ripped it off.  She then grabbed her hair and pulled it up, revealing her tattoo.

Take back what you stole

"Brothers and sisters of the Black Lily!  Why are you aiding this scum?"  She asked, her voice ringing out.  Some of the Assassins slowly lowered their weapons, looking unsure.  "Ohoh.  Poor kid.  Didn't you get the note?"  Rusk asked.  Kobayashi scowled.  "What are you talking about?"  She roughly asked.  "The Black Lily and I are going on a little joint business venture together."  Rusk casually said as if he were having a normal conversation with a friend.  "Tell me what your little plan is, or you won't live to see it done."  She cruelly said, digging her Katana in at an angle that would guarantee his getting cut off is she even shifted her wrist a little.  Rusk looked up.  "I wouldn't exactly call it a 'little plan'..."  He trailed off, looking at the approaching airships.  She looked up, the harsh wind blowing around her hair.  Rusk smiled, aiming is Cane Shotgun at her feet.  Aiming, he pulled the trigger, the impact blowing her back several feet.

Solaris and Aoi turned suddenly, hearing the sound and seeing the harsh black smoke that rose.  "Oh, no."  Solaris muttered, putting a hand to her forehead.

Kobayashi attempted to sit up, the impact with the ground leaving her dazed.  Rusk gave her no time, ruthlessly shooting at her.  Kobayashi quickly back flipped onto her feet, back flipping to avoid the bullets that hit the asphalt, sending up sprays of dust and rubble.  She quickly looked up, only to see him still shooting.  She quickly jumped back, one of her afterimages being engulfed in a spray of dust.  She ran towards the shipping crates, vanishing behind one.  "Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty..."  He called, lowering his shotgun.

He walked towards the shipping crate, only to feel something drop on his head.  Raising his hand, he pulled down a snow white rose.  Looking up, he only had the chance to see Ryuu jumping off the building, both of his feet colliding with Rusk's left shoulder.  He flipped, rolling on the ground then standing up.  "Leave her alone, Rusk."  He coldly hissed, his eyes narrowing.  The airships opened a hatch, several Black Lily assassins jumping out and circling Ryuu.  "You seriously are not the brightest rose in the bunch, kid."  Rusk hissed, the Lily assassins running towards him.  Quickly, he punched the first one who came to him, then kicking the next.  He grabbed one's arm, twisted it around his back then kicked him the back.  Ryuu reached behind his back, reaching for his staff.  The staff extended out to full length, the ends shooting out and hitting two assassins in the stomach.
