After leaving Jareds house the girls hung out at Delilah's for a while. Eventually Justin and Allen went to go hang with their boyfriends, but Brenn stayed.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Delilah asked
"Not really. We need to talk about the whole dance thing, like are we outing ourselves or are we getting separate tickets and playing it off as friends?" before Delilah could answer she got a call from Jared.
"Hang on I'm gonna answer this its Jared." and she answered the phone.
"Hey what's up?"
"Hey I have a problem. Tim asked me to the dance, but neither of us are out and aren't too comfortable with coming out yet."
"Okay so what do you want me to do about it?" she asked
"I need you to go as Tims date because I don't want our friends or anyone else to know."
"Um let me call you back." she says as she hangs up.
"I can't go to the dance with you I have to go with Tim." she sad sadly
"What! Why?"
"Because Jared asked me to do him a favor. I can tell him we're dating and still go with you."
"What no way. I have to marry him when I turn 18."
"Okay looks like I'm going with Tim." she dials Jared again to tell him, but this time she goes into another room.
"Hey, I will go with him under one condition I need to tell Delilah."
"Why."
"Because I was going to go to the dance with her because she didn't want to worry about not having anyone to go with."
Jared sighs "Okay, but tell her nobody else is to hear of this. I'm not ready."
"Deal. I got to go and talk to Delilah bye." she hung up and walked back to Delilah.
"Hey babe I need to tell you why I'm going with Tim." She said softly.
"Okay?"
"Ironically him and Jared are going through the exact same thing we are."
"Jared's gay?" she asked with relief and confusion.
"No, he said he's not."
"Oh okay." She nodded
They just carried on talking about what they're going to do and what they are to each other. They talked until they were over it and went to watch a movie.
Meanwhile at Jared's house Tim lies in Jared's lap as they played video games. Tim eventually fell asleep in that position. Jared just sat there smiling and admiring him and then he fell asleep.
The next day was homecoming and the whole High School wore red, white, and blue. Jared wore Delilah's jersey and Brenn wore Tim's. Everybody went to the game and they won 16 to 0. The dance was great, too much to tell with so little time right now.
