One thing I was thankful for was the money she gave me. My little job at McDonalds wasnt paying well and I couldnt afford to pay rent, so she was loaning me the money I needed. But other than that, the attention she gave me was kind oftoo much ? And it didnt help me at all. It just brought me on my knees because I couldnt feel like I was an actual adult. I was 22, for Christs sake, and I wasnt even cooking my own meals !
After a short moment of silence, I finally nodded, and she shook her head.
-Cmon. Im not stupid.
The look she gave me destroyed me inside. Her eyes weren't full of concern and adoration like they were before, but they looked sad and disappointed. I faked a smile, but really I wanted to cover my face up and cry.
