Undying Love

One.

The summer is over and it's time for me to get ready to go and get registered in to my college classes. But I have to drive 4 hours just to get there because the college I'm going to is in New Jersey and I live all the way in Maryland. I was so excited to leave and finally be free from the rules of my parents.

"LEXIS" I hear my mother yell from downstairs
"WHAT?!" I ask opening up my door to find my now frantic mother standing on the other side.

"Are you all packed, do you have everything because there is no turning back once you get there you are there." My mother said

"Yes mom I have everything I need,I don't need to come back for anything." I said
I can sense that she was about to cry but these tears are tears of joy kinda like she's happy for me but she doesn't want me to leave at the same time.

"My baby's going to college" she said Bursting out into tears and hugging me tight.

"Ugh mom can you please stop crying, I'll be fine." I said consoling my hysterical mother who was crying a river.

"I know you will but it's just not going to be the same without you here I mean your leaving me here with your father and the boys." She said sniffing

"Mom I will see you on breaks and I will call you everyday and I'm only 4 hours away It's not like I'm moving to China." I said chuckling

"Ok, you promise me that you will call every single day!" She said looking me straight in the eyes.

"I promise" I said grabbing my suitcases and my bags and taking them to the car.

"BOYS COME TELL YOUR SISTER BYE!" MY mother said yelling up the stairs.

And Alexander and Nick came running down the stairs and hugging me.

Alexander my older brother said.
"I'm going to miss you kid." He said hugging me tight.
"Im gonna miss you too" I said hugging him even tighter
"Will you move it's my turn" Nick my little brother said.
"Come here Sport", "I'm gonna miss you most of all" I whispered in Nick's ear then hugging him
"Heard that" Alex said
"Oops" I said laughing
"Well the cars all packed and your ready to go" my dad said

"Lexis Carson, College gal" My dad said chuckling.

"Im gonna miss you too dad". I said hugging my father.
As I got in the car and started to pull out of the driveway I honked the car horn as a sign to say bye to my family.

As I was driving I heard my favorite song come on the radio it was Luv by Troy Lanez so I blasted the radio and started to sing along.
"EVERYONE FALLS IN LOVE SOMETIMES I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT IT AINT A CRIME" I sung that verse at the top of my lungs and laughing at myself because I know for a fact that I cannot sing.
About 4 hours later I was finally at the college but little did I know that my family followed me here trying to "surprise me" so as I got out the car all I here was my mother's voice

"Psst Lexis turn around" my mother said playfully.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We came to help you get settled in."

"Oh Well I do need some help getting setup, mom can you come with me to the main office?" I asked and my mother kindly nodded and we made our way to the main office.

As we approached the front desk we were greeted by a kind secretary

"Hello what can I help you with?" The lady said

"Hi, I would like to get my daughter registered for her dorm" my mother said politely
"Let me see" THE lady says searching threw her computer.
"Ok you will be staying in dorm 215" the nice lady said as she passed me my dorm key.
"Thank you" I said flashing her a polite smile
"Now are these rooms Co-Ed or are they boys with the boys and girls with the girls?" My mother asked sounding a little bit concerned.

"MA" I said gently shoving her to indicate that i was embarrassed that she even asked that question.

"What I just wanted to know" my mother said chucking
As we exited the door we headed back to my car and began to unpack it.
We made are way up the two flights of stairs and finally reached my room.

"What if my roommate doesn't like me" I said

"Well you wouldn't know if you don't open the door!" Alexander said growing impatience because he was holding my heavy carry on bags.

"Fine" I said poking my tongue out at him. I put the key in the door and turned the knob As I opened the door I see a boy sitting on the bed I think to myself
"My roommate is one sexy motherfucker"
I snapped out of my daydream when I see the boys hand wave in front of my face he chuckled.

"So your my new roommate huh? His voice sounded deep but not too deep.

"Hm?...Uh... Oh yeah yeah I'm your new roommate I said looking away rubbing the back of my neck. He realized that my dad and brothers were in the room so he whispered in my ear
"Your really hot" he said winking at me.
I whispered back
"Well thank you, and your quite attractive yourself I said smirking back.
After a Hour of Settled in I walked my family outside gave them my final hug and watched them pull out of the campus gates then I walked back upstairs.
"I didn't catch your name when I came in here" I said to my roommate.

"Oh my names Ethan, Ethan Dolan" he said coming over and hugged me I was a little hesitant at first but I hugged back.

"And you are?" Ethan asked
"Hm? Oh my names Lexis, Lexis Carson.
"Well Lexis how about I take you out for coffee how about in an hour?" Ethan suggested
"Sounds good to me." I said

"Uh hey Ethan" I said

"Yeah"
"How come were still hugging, I mean do you hug your other roommates for this long?" I said giggling.

"U-uh Y-Yeah I've hugged my roommates like that, all the time actually. He said pulling away and looking out the window trying not to make eye contact with me.
"Well I better get ready I'll see u in an hour" and I left that was until....
