"James' really cute especially when he's jealous."
Jealous? Why would he be jealous? I mean, we're just friends.
"Hey, Ivan, where are you going?" Tanong ni Bret.
"I'm gonna look for James." Sagot niya. Tumingin siya sa akin bago tuluyang umalis.
"James can handle himself." Umayos na rin ng upo si Bret. "So, what's your story?"
Tinuro ko ang sarili ko. "Ako?"
Tumango siya. "Aside from your name, we know nothing about you."
Natawa ako. "Well, my name is Nadine. My birthday is on October 31st. I'm 19." Sagot ko naman.
"31st? That's two weeks from now! Am I invited?"
"I really don't like hosting a party like this." Tukoy ko sa party ni Julia. Ang daming tao. Ayokong mapagod si Jeeves. At hindi naman ako sanay na nagha-handa tuwing birthday ko.
"You don't like big crowd?" Tanong niya.
"Sometimes." Tipid na sagot ko. Plus I really hate chit-chats.
"Tell me more about yourself." Pilit niya pa. "If James' going to date you, I have to know your background. Baka mamaya, killer ka." Biro niya sa akin.
"Why? Mukha ba akong killer?" Natatawang tanong ko.
"Nah, I'm just kidding."
Huminga ako nang malalim. Ano nga ba ang iku-kwento ko?
Sometimes I forget everything. When I woke up every morning, I find myself catching my breath. Pakiramdam ko hinahabol ako palagi.
Before I leave manor, I stare at the mirror. I always keep on saying my name.
"Nadine Lustre."

I am Nadine Lustre. A lonely girl. My parents are getting divorced. I live in a big manor. My butler's name is Jeeves. I am an Architecture student. I have a cat named Rogue. I have a friend named JC. I have new friends, James, Bret, and Ivan.

Naputol ang guni-guni ko nang marinig iyon.

"Dalawang meeting nang wala si James, ah. Anong balita?"
I bit my lower lip. Well, he's in the hospital because he got himself mobbed that night at Julia's party.
Mabuti na lang nasundan siya kaagad ni Ivan. Kung hindi, baka napuruhan siya.
