The girl everyone thought was lost forever

The battle! chapter 8

Awaking the next morning was like a dream, I woke up stretching in this king size bed.

As I was yawning, I heard whispers around me, “ is she wake?” “Should we wake her up?”

As I layed their it took me a minute to realize that people were standing around my bed peering over me, and with that I jumped straight up, grabbing the blankets and pulling them closer to me.

“why is everyone in my room!” I glared at them not even recognizing their faces.

One woman who looked to be in her fifties , pulled my blankets back, helping me get out of bed.

“Princess Lilly we have a lot of things on the list today to do, in a hour you have to be in the training room’’.

Training room? C’mon I just got here you got to be kidding me!

They didn’t let me respond they took me over to the big walk in closet picking out clothes for me to wear. They tried dressing me, but I shooed them out telling them to back the hell away.

Groggy I stared at the clothes they handed me. the pants as I slipped them on were brown tight pants that looked like leggings but more battle type, and as I reached for the shirt it was a tight green tank top. I cursed as I put it on, because it was not intended to let me breathe, especially in my boob area.

“Really! I can’t just wear a damn t shirt and now I half to wear this! Really?” I am not a morning person, waking me up this early, is not good for my health.

I walked over to the big wooden doors, pulling my messy orange hair into a bun that set on top of my hair.

As I pulled the doors open I was greeted by the grinning face of Ergon.

“are you ready to test your powers Princess Lilly?” I stared dumbfounded at him as he ushered me down the hall way quickly walking a head of me.

“Powers? But I don’t even know what my powers are! Everyone is trying to kill me this morning!”

Ergon seemed to happy at my mood, as he continued walking not even responding to me, as he took me around all these flights of stairs then hallways, but finally we came to a plain white room with a big window on the side. As I looked at the window I noticed several people in there. They all had serious faces on them, but I quickly recognized the kings.

Ergon placed me in the middle of the room turning to look at me, his face had become serious all so sudden as he spoke his voice showed no emotion. How could he do that?

“Princess Lilly today we will find out your powers, so just let them come to you naturally, as you fight your opponent, don’t hesitate, or you will get hurt”.

He looked at me one last time as I gulped sucking in a deep breath; he then walked outside of the room, and appeared behind the glass screen.

I heard the kings voice as my oppent stepped into the room

And the person I was going to be fighting was… Rowan…

He stood across the room from me smirking at me.

“Lilly and Rowan, prepare yourselves, the timer will start counting down from 10, then you must begain fighting, good luck.”

This was like a video game as I stared back at Rowan, who seemed to happy to fight me. And as a thought crossed my mind, I didn’t even know what his power was or what he was.

I wasn’t able to continue my thoughts, as the timer started counting at 10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1!

And with that one I braced myself for what Rowan was about to do.

He stood across from me, his eyes becoming dark, he started to growl, and his clothes broke off of him as his bones looked like they were snapping, he looked at me again growling, and then he stood there in the form of a wolf.

What Rowan was a wolf!! You got to be kidding me!

As I was thinking I didn’t realize he was running at me and then he jumped on top of me, trying to bite my throat. I felt my fingers tingling, and I could fill my eyes changing as they became a glowing green, my pupils disappearing. I felt like a different person as I lifted my glowing hand to the beast’s chest then throwing him across the room.

The beast didn’t look to happy because he snarled at me as he charged at me again, and with that I closed my eyes picturing water engulf the wolf. I opened my eyes to see the best floating in the air with water surrounding him, I made the water become rougher as the beast started to drown.

I closed my eyes again, as the water continued to suck the wolf down, but suddenly a big beep filled the room, and my water that was surrounding the wolf disappeared.

I opened my eyes to see that I was lying on the ground getting shaken by Ergon. I realized I was soaking wet, I didn’t remember getting wet at all, the floor around me was slippery and wet to, was I underwater to? My thoughts were cut short as I looked up at the king who was clapping his hands smiling.

“well done Lilly, you are more powerful then I thought you would be, well done child”. He clapped one more time as a man came beside him with light gray hair.

“ Ismal it is amazing how shes able to control her powers usually when one doesn’t know about their powers it takes them time, but now her”.

They both looked down at me smiling, I got up as a Ergon wrapped a towel around me, noticing I was shakeing.

And as the king and the man continued talking I saw Rowan walk up to me smiling also.

How could he be smiling then I was drowning him!?

“ well done Lilly rose, I thought you would be weaker but you have proven yourself to be quite strong, but I hope I never half to fight you again because being a drowned dog isn’t fun at all, especially by a girl!”

He started laughing as I glared at him. “hey next time I’m going to do worst to you dog!”

And with that he started glaring at me as I started laughing so hard at him.

I wondered what the rest of the day was going to be planned for me?
