Chapter 10: Coldness Shared 3/3

I know that I'm still conscious. But I'm too weak to answer his call. I can see he went somewhere. I don't want him to leave me at the same time I want to be protected. I feel safe when he is beside me and I don't him to go anywhere.

He came back with something in his hand. I don't know what it is, I can barely open my eyes a little. When he put the 'thing' around me, I feel warm. I also can feel he hugged me. I don't have energy to push him away. But some kind I felt comfortable that way. That I don't have to worry when he is with me, by my side. The feeling that I can trust him. "what is this?" I said to myself but I don't care. I just want it to that way. Then I close my eyes.

Why she always get sick when she meet me? When I was daydreaming for a while, I heard foot step outside the room. So I get out from the blanket slowly and run towards the door.

"Hello, is there someone outside?!" I scream. Then the person answer me

"Yah, what are you doing in there? where is my daughter?" He said. Now I know that he is Wani's father.

"We are trapped in here. Someone locked the door from outside. Please save us!".

"of course you punk! I can't leave my daughter in there". "I'm going to break the lock." He said against the door.

there's a loud sound out there. He was trying hard to break it and I think he did it. He open the door and walk in worriedly. He ask me "Where is Wani? You didn't do anything to her right?" He seems angry.

I shake my head and I pointed to the place she was sitting. He pick her up on his shoulder and give me a command. "Follow me".

So I followed him till outside." That's your car right?" I nod "Good, open it". I open the door and he put Wani inside. He also get in. I start the car and he showed me the way to their home.

" Right. Right! I said right! Did you really this slow?" I chuckled a little.

When we arrived. He open the house door and told me to come in too.

"Sit there for a moment. I need to put Wani on her bed". He goes upstair. I take my jacket off and sit on the sofa.He walk down a few minutes later.

"I'm sorry it took a little long". He said before sitting front of me. He stared at me before asking. "Tell me everything. How can you two ended up lock in there together! Owh! This is really...!". He banged hard on the coffee table.

" I ... I don't know. On... one of my friend told me to come and Wa...Wani told me the same thi...thing". I don't want him to get mad again so I talked like a scared person. OK, yeah I'm scared.

"Is that true?" He ask a little calmer.

"Ye...yes". (as you can read guys. He really scared of Wani's father)

"What did you do?"

"excuse me?"

"You work as what?!" I got shocked before answer.

"Detective"

"I see. Look, I heard you two always met."

"That's true."

"So I wanted to ask you a favor."

"Ne?"

"She is my one and only daughter so I really cared about her"."After she experiencing something hard... for her and her mother death." He stops and continues. "She change and become a new person. She got so many weaknesses but I'm surprised that she can hold it very well but some fear as bigger than any fear." I don't know why but I wanted to know more about her so I listen patiently.

"Every time she will get stronger and stronger and so the same as learning taekwondo which I really encouraged"."But she can't hold cold weather really well. She will become weak and maybe faint so it's important to keep her warm"."I always remind her but she doesn't care but maybe it will work if you do that"."That's the first point." I don't know why he told me this. He trusts me? But why?

"Second, when she is mad or sad"."This is always happen so I guess you had watch how she change to a mad girl. Yeah, I know how it feels"."But that's not all, She will act and do something uncontrollable. You have to be careful, she kept putting herself in dangerous situation every time this happen."

"And the last, remember that she had experience love before and she gets betrayed". "That pain left a deep scar in her heart." Why did this ahjusshi acts like a love expert?

"As a human, she will feel it again but there's a high possibility that she think that feel as lies and just in case she really fall in love, don't make her sad or make her believe in you because she will be extra sensitive". So tell it to her boyfriend instead. Why is he talking about things that I don't understand.

"So I wanted to ask you to build courage in her and make her brave. Always care about her. When you're with her maybe you'll get to know her more. She had lived in her own prison for a long time".

He then closed his speech. I think that I am in no position to hold such responsibilities but I don't mind. Wait. Why did I don't mind? Wa Ni and I are unrelated. Why is it that I don't mind?

"It's already dark so you can stay here for tonight." "You can take the pillow and blanket that I leave in the corner over there. I'm going to sleep now."

I smiled while I took the pillows and monologue "What a weird family."
