At of the corner of his telescope, Captain Will Rackham saw a cove nearing on the horizon.
"All hands, bring out the starboard sail!" He yelled, deciding that they would make camp there. As the crew shuffled about, setting up the starboard sail, he saw a ship coming from their port side. It had an English flag.
"Ship off port bow!" He yelled. "Arm the crew." He said to his first mate, Jack Hornsbury. Hornsbury started yelling to the crew to get themselves armed and ready the ship for a battle. He saw the crew scrambling to get their weapons and set up the cannons ready for battle. He smiled, little did the English know, they were one of the most feared pirate crew in the Caribbean. One of the others include Black Beard's crew, aboard his ship, The Queen Anne's Revenge. Little did Will Rackham know though, was that the English ship facing them was the most powerful ship in the English Navy, The Last Ranger.Just as the crew was ready to engage, they heard a loud bang from the opposing ship. It was the Mortar. They looked up and saw a fiery hell looming above them. It came crashing down on the ship and tore down the mast. Then Will Rackham looked at the ship facing them and saw the name. He looked at it in fright, but still decided to face the ship.
"FIRE CANNONS!" He yelled and the six cannons fired at once and hit the opposing ship. He saw that they did nothing to the ship, and that they were setting up their cannons. He saw that they had twenty seven cannons on one side. He then decided to run.
"GET OUT OF HERE! ABANDON THE FIGHT!" He shouted and turned the ship and sailed towards the cove. Then they heard another loud bang and saw another Mortar shot looming above them. It crashed down on the ship and tore it in two. Will was one of the only ones in his crew who knew how to swim, so he jumped off the ship and swam towards the cove entrance. He crew who knew how to swim made it to the cove and looked at their ship. They saw a huge explosion and with that, The Aqua Ruby sunk beneath the waves. The Last Ranger, turned and sailed away, back towards England, having done its job of taking them down. They all looked at each other and then they all realised the truth of what had just happened. They were shipwrecked.
